- 2. JR owns the biggest art gallery in the world. He exhibits freely in the streets of the world, catching the attention of people who are not the museum visitors. His work mixes Art and Act, talks about commitment, freedom, identity and limit. As he remains anonymous and doesn't explain his huge full frame portraits of people making faces, JR leaves the space empty for an encounter between the subject/protagonist and the passer-by/interpreter. - 8. The TED Prize is designed to leverage the TED community ’s exceptional array of talent and resources. It is awarded annually to an exceptional individual who receives $100,000 and, much more important, On e Wish to Change the World. After several months of preparation, s/he unveils his/her wish at an award ceremony held during the TED Conference. These wishes have led to collaborative initiatives with far-reaching impact. JR's Wish "I wish for you to stand up for what you care about by participating in a global art project, and together we'll turn the world...INSIDE OUT."

INSIDE OUT PAKISTAN When TED Prize winner JR announced his wish to turn the world “ In side Out”, inviting people around the globe to share a photo portrait along with a statement about what they stand for, 7 photographers from Karachi stood up to participate. 25 individuals offered a portrait of themselves, and called attention to the issue of discrimination against minority communities in Pakistan.These photographs serve to initiate a dialogue about how we see “others” around us and who we consider to be a minority.
