2. Snap-On Smile (Part 2)
What are the pros and cons?
§ Every dental procedure comes with a list of pros and cons. Here are my
thoughts concerning the pros and cons of the Snap-On Smile:
§
Pros: The beauty of this procedure is there are no shots and no changes to your
natural tooth structure with drilling is needed. Have a fear of the dentist but want
a beautiful smile? The Snap- On Smile is an easy, pain free option to enhance your
smile. The Snap-On Smile is a reversible procedure that does not require the use of
adhesive; it’s completely removable when need be. Your Snap-On Smile appliance
can even be worn while you eat and drink. Because of its highly specialized, elastic
material, the Snap-On Smile appliance adapts snuggly to your teeth. As a result,
there’s never any uncomfortable brittleness, and you don’t have to worry about the
appliance cracking when you put it on. It’s perfect for teens and adults of all ages,
especially baby boomers who are interested in rejuvenating their smiles without
much invasion of their natural teeth.
3. Snap-On Smile (Part 2)
§
Cons: While many patients have had success with the Snap-On Smile, others have
found better success with veneers, bridges and braces because the results are more
permanent and more natural looking.
How much will it cost?
§
The estimated cost for your Snap-On Smile ranges from $1,000- $2,000 for each arch
of the mouth. This fee is non-refundable. Compare this to the price of permanent
porcelain veneers, which can range from $1,000-$2,000 per tooth and the Snap-On
Smile is definitely something to smile about.
Will insurance cover this procedure?
§
The Snap-On Smile is generally considered a cosmetic procedure that is not covered
by dental insurance. However, if you are missing teeth and if your plan offers benefits
for major services such as teeth replacements, they may cover your Snap-On Smile.
4. Snap-On Smile (Part 2)
§
If you want to be certain of the benefits offered by your plan before starting your work, your
dentist may be willing to submit a letter with x-rays to your insurance company to get a preauthorization of the procedure with fees that they will pay as well as fees that will be due by you.
How long will it last?
§
Your Snap-On Smile can last an average of 3-5 years, the same as any removable partial denture
or appliance, i.e. night guards, etc. We do advise that proper care is needed. Although this
procedure is non- refundable, it does come with a 60 day warranty.
§
A-List Advice:
§
The Snap-On Smile® is one of the secret weapons that many of my nervous patients choose to
enhance their smiles. If you’ve been putting off your smile makeover due to fear, you may want to
consider this pain free smile makeover technique.
