Introduction: Clinical features of spinal cord injury are described as part of neurological syndromes of commotion, complete and incomplete lesions. Paraplegia is a consequence of spinal injury in the thoracic, lumbar and sacral part of the spine characterized by partial (paraparesis) or complete loss of function below the level of injury. There are many secondary complications, and the most important ones are proprioceptive deficits and reduced balance that greatly reduce the participation of patients in their daily activities. Aim: The aim of this study was to determine the ability of the PNF technique to increase the functional activity of a patient with incomplete spinal cord injury (TH11 - TH12) included in the PNF therapy for six months. Results: The problem the subject noted when taking the initial status was walking over longer distances and walking up the stairs. Functional abilities of the subject were evaluated by Spinal Cord Independence Measure (SCIM) and Berg balance scale. Evaluation was performed prior to, in the middle of, and after the intervention. The subject was included in the PNF therapy twice a week for 45 minutes in a period of 6 months. There was an increase in the results of the Berg Balance Scale test as well as SCIM results in the area of the locomotion, specifically in the area of mobility in bed, mobility inside and outside the house at 10 meters to 100 meters distance and using the stairs. Conclusion: The results of this study show that the PNF technique might have a positive effect on increasing the functional abilities of subjects with incomplete spinal cord injury. However, further research is required with a larger number of subjects to make a final conclusion on the effect of the PNF technique on the functional abilities of persons with spinal cord injuries.

Physiotherapy is a valuable and often underutilized tools in the management of cancer. Physiotherapy for cancer patients can occur in the home, an outpatient clinic, an inpatient rehabilitation center, or in an acute care hospital. Physiotherapy can help them regain their previous quality of life, or even improve upon it. Therapists who understand the complexities of oncology rehabilitative care can have a huge impact on cancer patients’ ability to tolerate such toxic treatments by working with them to maintain their strength and function.

Preoperative care refers to health care provided before a surgical operation. The aim of preoperative care is to do whatever is right to increase the success of the surgery. At some point before the operation the health care provider will assess the fitness of the person to have surgery. During the perioperative period, specialised nursing care is needed during each phase of treatment. For nurses to give effective and competent care, they need to understand the full perioperative experience for the patient. Perioperative refers to the three phases of surgery. Preoperative stage Intraoperative stage Postoperative stage Within these stages there are many different roles for nurses and different care needed for the patient dependent on which stage they are in. As with any nursing care, the goal during these stages is to provide holistic and evidence based care as well as support to the individual. There are different nursing roles throughout the perioperative process including: admissions nurse, anaesthetic nurse, circulating nurse or scout nurse, instrument or scrub nurse, post anaesthesia care unit (PACU) nurse and the surgical ward nurse. Other nurses may be included in the perioperative process such as pain management specialist nurses, diabetes educators.

Mechanical ventilation (MV) is one of the most common interventions in the intensive care unit (ICU). Physical therapy includes early mobilisation to improve functional outcomes. Physical therapy interventions include passive movements of the extremities for deeply sedated patients, in-bed and out-of-bed mobility, active or passive cycling ,neuromuscular electrical stimulation and ambulation.Chest physiotherapy facilitates removal of retained or profuse airway secretions aiming to reduce airway resistance, optimize lung compliance, and decrease the work of breathing. Multimodality respiratory physiotherapy appeared to reduce mortality in ICU patients.

While single melodic lines are simpler and more straightforward, they still allow for creativity and emotional expression. Meanwhile, the simultaneous occurrence of multiple melodic lines can create a more intricate and complex musical structure that challenges the listener's ear and engages their attention.
