Left main coronary artery disease can be difficult to diagnose with electrocardiography alone. A study from Garcia Intermedica in Pachuca, Mexico compared electrocardiography results to angiography findings in patients to determine the correlation between the two for detecting left main disease. The study found only a weak correlation and that electrocardiography should not be used as the sole method for diagnosing left main coronary artery disease.
