The medical director of OSF St. Joseph Medical Center’s PromptCare clinics, Dr. Lamont Tyler has more than a decade of experience in the field. A member of the Illinois Academy of Family Medicine, he received his doctor of osteopathic medicine from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. In addition to his work as medical director, Dr. Lamont Tyler hosts the weekly radio program Doc Talk, providing education on health topics.

2.  The medical director of OSF St. Joseph Medical Center’s
PromptCare clinics, Dr. Lamont Tyler has more than a
decade of experience in the field. A member of the Illinois
Academy of Family Medicine, he received his doctor of
osteopathic medicine from the Chicago College of
Osteopathic Medicine. In addition to his work as medical
director, Dr. Lamont Tyler hosts the weekly radio program
Doc Talk, providing education on health topics.
With both a Level II trauma center and a sleep center, OSF
St. Joseph has a number of locations across Illinois. To best
serve its community, St. Joseph also offers a PromptCare
service alongside its emergency department to treat people
with sudden minor illnesses and injuries.

3.  Rather than going to the emergency department,
patients can be treated at PromptCare for a wide
variety of symptoms, including abscess incision
and drainage, rashes, and urinary tract infections,
among others. PromptCare clinics physicians can
also perform STD evaluations and sports physicals
when a patient’s primary care physician is
unavailable.
