ESSEYS ON ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION BY POLISH STUDENTS
,,Air pollution’’ by Andżelika L.
In the past the air was much cleaner than it is now. The development of industry has the biggest
impact on the air cleanliness. Nowadays, in the industrial countries (in North America and in
Europe) almost every adult has got own car. It also affects the quality of air greatly. Another
problem which contributes to air pollution is the problem of deforestation. It is said that forests
are green lungs of the world.
We all need clean air just to live and survive! Unfortunately, poor quality of air is very harmful
to our health. Many people in the whole world come down with different illnesses every day.
Those include, for example:
- problems with heart, lungs
- asthma
- some kind of allergies
- problems with skin like rash
Although people know a lot about air pollution and its impact on our lives, it is very difficult to
do something about it. Unluckily, the development of the industry and technology is one of the
main purposes of air pollution. But at the same time, new technologies are also very important
in our lives – cars and modern gadgets ( phones, smartphones, TV etc.) make our lives more
comfortable.
The level of air pollution has reached a critical point but there are still ways in which we can
reduce the number of air pollutants. First of all, we need to use public transport, plant more
trees, use ecological bio-fuels and stop replacing our old smartphones or other devices with the
new ones just to have some new functions or applications.
To sum it up, we can say that the air we breathe is getting more and more polluted day by day.
The most negative contribution to the increase of the level of air pollution has the usage of fossil
fuels because nitric and sulphuric oxides are the by-products of that process. However, people
treat this problem seriously and are devotedly working to eradicate the problem that they have
created. We must remember that people themselves have the greatest impact on their own lives!
“Our planet” by Kinga B.
The Earth is a large planet where a lot of people live, therefore flora and fauna and air are
threatened by the human activity.
Air pollution consists of a lot of factors such as vehicle exhaust fumes, coal stoves, an ozone
hole, garbage, no recycling, cow breeding (methane), sewage gases, smoke from chimneys, etc. All
types of combustion vehicles should be exchanged for bicycles, electric vehicles etc. The coal stoves
should be converted to heating systems using solar energy. We also need to take care of recycling, i.e.
sort waste at home, throw it into appropriate waste bins. We can also clean forests, cities, meadows,
roads etc. to reduce the amount of hazardous waste. The cow farms produce high levels of greenhouse
gas emissions which increase the greenhouse effect and reduce the number of arable fields. Sewage also
has a negative effect on the air purity because it poisons lakes, rivers, soil and places where it occur so
the sewage treatment plants should be established as soon as possible wherever the threat of soil
contamination is present. However, this is connected with the smoke from the chimneys, so we have to
put filters on the chimneys of factories, houses, etc.
We are obliged to care for our planet, we must take care of future generations so each of us should think
about the environmental pollution and related diseases such as allergies , asthma and other health
problems. Many species of animals are becoming extinct due to environmental pollution. The
greenhouse effect that we experience severely affects animals around the world. Many interesting and
useful species are threatened with total extinction.
We are the people - as homo sapiens we are responsible for what the future of our planet will be like.
The poor condition of the Earth nowadays shows the extent of our negligence over the years and the
effectsofwhich we observe by the occurence ofatmospheric phenomena including hurricanes, cyclones,
fires, drought and floods.
We - the ordinary people and politicians! We must spring into action and take the lead for the
sake of future generations and our BELOVED and BEAUTIFUL EARTH.
“Environment protection” by Karol B.
Nature, everything that surrounds us. Yes, it's beautiful. However, if we want to keep its beauty,
we must work together. We must get rid of the areas polluted by humans as they are threatening
our lives and animals' lives too. The environment can be saved from deforestation, air pollution,
water pollution, and animals can be saved from going extinct. Just a bit work. Let's get into it.
Many people walk around the parks and, if they have something useless in their pockets, like
wrappers they throw them away onto the ground which then is decomposed by the little
organisms living in the ground. This causes soil contamination. We don't have to do that. We
can set up trash cans in the parks to help prevent that process. The same goes with dogs'
excrements. The owner of a dog - if going for a walk with your pet - you must take a special
bag and a spade to pick up the dog’s poop and throw it into the dog waste bin.
The next problem is air pollution. The factories we see in our cities landscape are producing a
lot of smoke coming out of their chimneys. To solve this, they can use chimney filters that
cleanse the air coming out from the chimney that remove any harmful particles for the living
organisms. We can also use electric cars in order to not produce any smoke coming out of the
typical cars' exhaust pipes.
Water pollution is the contamination of water bodies caused by humans. This one is really
dangerous as it can grow from a polluted lake to a polluted ocean and dead water organisms.
This is the cause of releasing wastewater to clean, natural water bodies, chemical pollution from
the factories, accidental deadly substances leakages, burning of fossil fuels, mining activities
and more. First of all, we got to dispose of waste properly, not throw it directly to the ocean.
The ships transporting resources must be careful not to drop off any toxic chemicals in the water
by accident or on purpose. Pollution from the industry can be fixed with filters as said in air
pollution problem solving. Burning coal produces particles with toxic chemicals which mix
with water in the air and cause acid rains. Then the acidic substances and particles fall into the
ocean. To prevent this in our homes, we can use radiators instead of furnaces. In factories, put
filters on chimneys. Mining coal also produces toxic chemicals that mix with water. Mining
industries use a lot of water in the cycle of their operations, so they have to reduce it.
Deforestation can be stopped by planting a lot of trees, though some of the forests burn. This is
because people that visit the areas of nature litter them heavily with glass bottles or similar
objects. The glass, if left in the sun, reflects the sunrays on the trees making them ignite and
burn. Trees are very important to our lives. They produce oxygen for us to breathe. If we lower
the amount of them, we might as well just die. People really don't need that big amount of wood,
we can limit it. Also, we can buy recycled products and recycle them again.
The last problem on the list is:
Endangered species –more and more common occurrence within a lot of animal species. There
are lot of animals that have gone extinct. We can't let the other ones die as well. The
conservation of endangered species is important for human exsitence. A well balanced
ecosystem gives us clean air to breathe. Hunters have to abandon their jobs to let the animals
breed. They can become guards at the zoo, where they can watch over the animals. The
endangered species are forbidden to be killed and have to be transported to the zoos or left them
live quietly in the forests.
There is also one problem which has to do with environment protection and it's especially
dangerous. It's the hole in the ozone layer. This is because people use more deodorants that
contain chlorofluorocarbon or CFC for short. It causes for the ozone layer to weaken and let the
harmful UV radiation from the Sun to get to Earth. The hole is located at the Antarctica biome.
The UV radiation can cause skin cancer. There is a simple solution how to deal with it. We
have to limit the use of freons and replace deodorants and sprays with something different. You
must wear a wide brim hat to shade your face, neck and shoulders. Wear sunglasses that protect
your eyes and use sunscreen. Also avoid indoor tanning.
That's all I wanted to tell you. I hope you're careful out there for your life and the environment.
“Enviromental Pollution” by Dawid B.
The enviromental pollution is a huge problem nowadays. It is caused by thoughtlessness of
people. What else can we call throwing garbage into water, or burning trash? All these things
affect the air and water condition. There are a lot of examples of polluting our planet. For
example, factories and heavy industry.
What can we do? Very important thing is not throwing garbage anywhere we want as we must
throw it to the proper bins and recycle it as a consequence. We must stop burning inappropriate
things in the furnaces. The country must start using renewable energy sources, stop factories'
work and start producing things from renewable materials. That's all we can do.
When we do it, our planet "will be happy" and people will understand that this will be the best
way of helping the environment and that life will become better.
“Environmental pollution” by Maja
Over the time, the environment became more and more polluted and many people don’t
realize the threat. Water waste, air pollution and trash on every corner are only few examples
of littering our planet, but there are many ways to stop that.
First of all, to reduce pollution of the Earth we should primarily sort waste. Most of
people don’t do that, but it’s very important because thanks to that trash doesn’t go to waste
dump and it isn’t burnt but other recycled materials are made of it instead which also reduces
plastic production.
Another way of protecting the environment is saving water. Nowadays, on the Earth
there is less and less drinking water that’s why we should save it. Instead of taking a bath, we
can take a shower and when we brush our teeth we should turn off the tap. An important thing
is also waste of food. To produce all the food we throw away, huge amount of water is needed
that’s why we should think before throwing away edible food.
Air pollution is also the serious problem. If the place where we are going is near enough,
we should take a bike or walk there in order not to produce unnecessary exhaust fumes.
All in all, we must take care of our planet because it’s our home and it has to serve many
generations to come. If we start doing proper things now as far as the environment protection
is concerned we will be able to save the Earth when we still have the chance of doing so.
“Environmental pollution” by Ewa B.
Environmental pollution is a problem that people are trying to fight, but not everyone is
interested of doing so. It is worth considering that the introduction of harmful substances into
the air, water and soil, in addition to the negative impact on the state of nature's ecosystems, the
climate on Earth, is a direct threat to human health. Six million people die annually due to water
and air pollution. The most serious effects of degradation on Earth so far include global
warming, the ozone hole, smog, acid rains, ground level ozone, noise and odours.
Ground-level ozone is a colourless and highly irritating gas that forms just above the
earth's surface. It is called a "secondary" pollutant because it is produced when two primary
pollutants react in sunlight and stagnant air. These two primary pollutants are nitrogen oxides
(NOx) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
At today's pace of development and increased consumption, it is difficult to reduce
environmental pollution, but through daily activities we can try to prevent this problem:
- Sorting waste - waste thrown into appropriate containers can be used as a secondary raw
material, thanks to which it will not end up in a landfill
- save water - by brushing your teeth or washing dishes, turn off the tap when you do not need
any more water. In this way, the amount of sewage generated is limited.
- do not burn garbage in the furnace - hazardous waste such as sulphur dioxide, nitrous oxide
or carbon monoxide is generated when burning waste in the households’ furnaces.
In addition, burning rubbish at home canr esult in a high fine of up to PLN 5,000.
- travel by bike or choose a short walk - if the distance to travel is not great, instead of choosing
a car, choose a bike - in this way you will save money you would spend on fuel and increase
your physical fitness.
- Avoid toxic aerosols with freons - Freons can be found in refrigerators as refrigerants, but also
in aerosols in sprays. They are very dangerous organic compounds containing chlorine and
fluorine which destroy the ozone layer.
I hope you will comply with these advice and start caring for the environment.
,,Help the Earth!” by Inez
Currently there are more and more ecological problems on Earth. The environment is
constantly littered, natural resources are being depleted and destroyed. The extraction of natural
resources has led to a sharp decline in the amount of resources. The emission of toxic gases and
dusts by industrial plants has led to air poisoning. The area of woodland is being reduced.
Environmental disasters are becoming more and more common: for example, power plant
failures. More and more animals and plant species are dying out. The harmony between man
and nature has been disturbed. Are we facing an environmental crisis?
Already several decades ago, the threat of a global environmental crisis was recognized,
as evidenced by the words of Swedish Prime Minister - Olof Palme at the international
environmental conference in Stockholm in 1972 “It's about the survival of humanity in our
cramped humanity [..]”.
The problem is the air pollution. The factories we see in our cities landscape are
producing a lot of smoke coming out of their chimneys. To solve this, they can use chimney
filters that cleanse the air coming out from the chimney that remove any harmful particles for
the living organisms. We can also use electric cars in order to not produce any smoke coming
out of the typical cars' exhaust pipes.
In order to solve the contemporary problems of our environment, the efforts of one or
more countries are not enough, we must all join forces. The ecological problems of our planet
and their solution must make everyone aware of the importance of a clean environment and
harmony between humans and nature.
“Save the environment” by Konrad
Nature around us is slowly dying more and more due to lots of different factors, which are
the result of negative effects of revolution of our society. However, we can also do things to
help and save the environment around us.
Let's start with air and soil pollution. These are quite common problems all around the
world. For air pollution, we can install filters on chimneys in our houses, or even more
important, factories because that is where most of the pollution is coming from. We can also
use more public transport than our own cars, or even better, we can just use bikes to ride to
places that are near us.
For soil pollution, or soil contamination, we can pick up trash and throw it into a trash cans near
you. There is also problem of resource depletion. To help solve this one, we can for example
use solar or wind energy. It might be pricey to install one, but it's going to pay off. We can also
turn off any electronics if we don't use them for a long time.
Deforestation is also a big problem, as trees are very important because they transform
CO2 to oxygen which we breathe with. We can plant trees which we can find in most
gardening stores, as that helps a lot. There are also things that we can't do, as they make
some problems even worse. For example, we can't throw trash into water as we are
making the problem of water pollution even worse, or, we can't cut down trees because it
not only makes the problem of deforestation even worse, but we also cut down home for
some endangered species of animals which doesn't help them. There are also some problems,
which we - normal people, can't really help with. For example, we can't really help with nuclear
waste.
Overall, there are a lot of things we can do to help save the world, and maybe in the
future, some of these problems will disappear.
“My solutions” by Maciej
As we all know our planet is facing a really hard time. It’s being destroyed by things like climate
change , air pollution, water pollution, resource depletion (over-consumption) , deforestation ,
soil contamination and nuclear waste. Not only the environment is being destroyed gradually.
More and more animal species are facing extinction. We need to do something to help our
planet.
Solutions
For the problem of air pollution we can use public transport, put filters on factory chimneys and
change a coal furnace to a new environmental-friendly one. We can dispose of waste properly
and recycle more to help solve the problem of resource depletion (over-consumption). Cleaning
the soil from toxic substances and deacidifaction of acidified soils and limiting industrial
sources of soil pollution using modern environmentally friendly technologies will solve the
problem of soil contamination. To help endangered species we can build more national parks
and create conservation programmes. To solve the problem of deforestation we can plant more
trees. Turning off unused electronic devices, hanging the laundry to dry and using less water
can help solve the problem of climate change.
My opinion
I think that all of those things which destroy the environment cannot be disregarded. Earth is
our home so we must take care of it. If all of us used the solutions I have presented we can make
a difference and we can solve those problems once and for all.
“The state of the environment at present” by Nikola
We live in time and part of the Earth where we can meet a lot of environmental changes like
weather, level and component of water, differences of temperatures, moisture of the air,
pressure and many others. I am really worried about the future of our planet as I see personally
the changes that have come in the last few years. I see that summer is very hot and very dry in
Poland, almost as in the desert. Winter is merely present. We have very limited snowy days,
only a few days of temperatures below zero, the plants behave the similar as in the spring time.
I think that human race made pollution be a reason that we have so many problems with
breathing, drinking soft drinks, eating healthy and no-chemistry remade food.
It's very sad that we have to meet the problems with Australia’s drought causes damages and
pain of many plants and animals.
I think that international cooperation efforts can help to save the planet from very
destructive influence of humans.
I confirm that I am worried about our planet and I wish people think about its future and saving
as much as it will be possible.
“Air pollution” by Maria P.
Environmental pollution is something that affects us all every day. Air pollution is just one of
many things caused by people.
Air pollution doesn’t come from nowhere. We contribute to this and we aren’t aware of the
consequences it will have in the future. There are a lot of factors which cause air pollution. Such
as the transport industry, the Energy industry and the industrialization of cities. The smoke and
the smoke combined with fog causes smog. Another side effect is acid rain, which contains
acids produced by the reaction of water with absorbed gases such as sulphur dioxide, sulphur
trioxide, nitrogen oxides, hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide and hydrogen chloride. They are the
effect of volcanic eruptions, fuel combustion, fuel production, atmospheric discharges and other
natural phenomena. It is also worth mentioning that deforestation affects the air negatively
because trees absorb CO2 and produce O2.
To protect the environment, we must start helping it become cleaner. We should use public
transport as often as possible. We must use renewable energy (solar panels and wind energy).
It would be a very good solution. I think these activities would help to prevent air pollution, but
everyone must try and want to do it.
“Air Pollution” by Angela P.
Earlier the air we breathe in used to be pure and fresh. But, due to increasing industrialization
and concentration of poisonous gases in the environment the air is getting more and more toxic
day by day. Also, these gases are the cause of many respiratory and other diseases. Moreover,
the rapidly increasing human activities like the burning of fossil fuels, deforestation is the major
cause of air pollution.
How Air Gets Polluted?
The fossil fuels, firewood, and other things that we burn produce oxides of carbons which got
released into the atmosphere. Earlier there happened to be a large number of trees which could
easily filter the air we breathed in. But with the increase in demand for land, the people started
cutting down of trees which caused deforestation. That ultimately reduced the filtering capacity
of the tree.
Moreover, during the last few decades, the numbers of fossil fuel burning by vehicles increased
rapidly which increased the number of pollutants in the air.
Causes Of Air Pollution
Its causes include burning of fossil fuel and firewood, smoke released from factories, volcanic
eruptions, forest fires, bombardment, asteroids, CFCs (Chlorofluorocarbons), carbon oxides
and many more. Besides, there are some other air pollutants like industrial waste, agricultural
waste, power plants, thermal nuclear plants, etc.
Greenhouse Effect
The greenhouse effect is also the cause of air pollution because air pollution produces the gases
that greenhouse involves. Besides, it increases the temperature of earth surface so much that
the polar caps are melting and most of the UV rays are easily penetrating the surface of the
earth.
Effects Of Air Pollution On Health
The air pollution has many bad effects on the health of people. It is the cause of many skins and
respiratory disorder in human beings. Also, it causes heart disease too. Air pollution causes
asthma, bronchitis, and many other diseases. Moreover, it increases the rate of aging of lungs,
decreases lungs function, damage cells in the respiratory system.
Ways To Reduce Air Pollution
Although the level of air pollution has reached a critical point. But, there are still ways by which
we can reduce the number of air pollutants from the air.
Reforestation- The quality of air can be improved by planting more and more trees as they clean
and filter the air.
Policy for industries- Strict policy for industries related to the filter of gases should be
introduced in the countries. So, we can minimize the toxins released from factories.
Use of eco-friendly fuel- We have to adopt the usage of Eco-friendly fuels such as LPG
(Liquefied Petroleum Gas), CNG (Compressed Natural Gas), bio-gas, and other eco-friendly
fuels. So, we can reduce the amount of harmful toxic gases.
To sum it up, we can say that the air we breathe is getting more and more polluted day by day.
The biggest contribution to the increase in air pollution is of fossil fuels which produce nitric
and sulphuric oxides. But, humans have taken this problem seriously and are devotedly working
to eradicate the problem that they have created.
Above all, many initiatives like plant trees, use of eco-friendly fuel are promoted worldwide.
“Environment pollution” by Weronika G.
With the increase in the number of people on Earth and the activity of the industry, the total
number increases in the environment. Every year, 6 million people die because of the range of
different illnesses connected with the environment. The environmental pollution is caused by
natural sources (e.g. volcanic eruptions) and anthropogenic or artificial, human activity. Only a
few centuries ago, the use of natural origin dominated in the environment. The natural sources
that contaminate the air we breathe include volcanic eruptions, rock erosion, forest fires, cosmic
dust. On the other hand, water pollution results from the presence of salts, microorganisms,
organic substances and was often associated with leaching of these substances from rocks and
soils. According to UNESCO experts, currently the most dangerous chemical compounds that
pollute the environment are: carbondioxide - one of the causes of the greenhouse effect, carbon
monoxide, sulphur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide. Water pollution causes can be divided on
natural (autochthonous) and anthropogenic (allochthonous) origin. Factors affecting the
degradation of water can be divided into: natural, artificial, due to the state of aggregation:
volatile, liquid and solid, agricultural chemical compounds, breeding waste. The pollution of
soil and the amount of radioactive substances and microorganisms occurring in higher amounts
exceed their normal, natural content. They come from with solid and liquid industrial and
municipal waste, the main ones emitted from units, internal combustion engines, and
agricultural substances. Air pollutants arise from gaseous, solid or liquid substances in the air
in higher amounts than their average content. The main sources include: thermal power
engineering, transport system, chemical conversion of fuels, extraction and transport of raw
materials, chemical industry, refining industry, metallurgy, cement industry, cement and raw
materials, waste, automotive industry. Types of environmental pollution include air pollution,
water pollution, soil pollution, noise pollution, light pollution, landscape pollution and
radioactive contamination. The effects of air pollution include global warming, the ozone hole,
smog, acid rains, ground-level ozone, noise, and odours. Global warming is the gradual increase
in average global temperature by emitting large amounts of harmul gasses into the atmosphere.
The ozone hole is created by the emission of freons and nitrogen oxides. Ozone layer in the
upper atmosphere protects living organisms from the harmful UV radiation. Smog is associated
with emissions of exhaust gasses and dust into the atmosphere by cars and industrial plants.
Acid rain is created through the emission of sulphur oxides and nitrogen oxides into the
atmosphere. In combination with water containing strong acids like sulphuric acid and nitric
acid the acid rains are created. Noise is produced by means of transport and technical
equipment, but also it is created by people causing continuous emission of sounds in the highly
populated areas. Odours are the result of presence in the air around stimulating olfactory
receptors (odorants). Most often there are different categories of odours available in very small
quantities. There are many ways to solve this problem, e.g. recycling, waste segregation,
planting new trees, using public transport and installing filters on factory chimneys.
“Environment protection in Poland” by Wiktor
The situation of environment protection in Poland is not good because people of this country
didn't care about it for many years. We have a problem of smog every winter. A lot of people
heat their houses with hard coal and wood some or even trash which is very toxic. Another
problem are cars which we use. Most of Polish cars have got gas engines.
If we want to change our country and protect our environment, we have to change our thinking.
Some people don't care what will happen in the future but for me it is very important. I'm young
and my life has just begun.
First of all we should help people to change the old stoves to the ecological ones. I think the
Polish government should give money for it, not only 30% of costs. The next problem is cars
because the electric cars are very expensive and there aren't many charging stations for electric
cars in Poland.
Of course we can buy hybrid cars which are cheaper but they use a gas and electricity.
In my opinion if we want to protect our environment, we should do it together and help people
who have got problems with protection of our country. We should learn on the lessons how to
protect nature more effective.
“How to prevent the pollution of the environment” by Zuzia G.
There is a lot of pollution that we can't handle, and we would like our environment to be clean
and healthy. Here are some examples of how we can prevent environmental pollution:
Air pollution
Many people do not realize how polluted our air is. People smoke in furnaces with various
things, e.g. rubber, plastic and have no idea that they contribute to pollution of our environment
greatly. One of the main effects is smog which can often be observed in many larger cities. It
is not good for our health, therefore, to prevent it, we can use ecological means of transport
instead of cars, i.e. bicycles, skateboards, etc. or use public transport. Of course, this is not
always possible, but still we can at least try to drive our cars as little as possible.
Water pollution
The problem of the modern world is not only water pollution, but also its shortcomings.
Increasingly, people waste water when watering plants too often, or even brushing their teeth.
Many people are unaware that we may run out of drinking water in a few decades. Some people
walking next to a river or a lake instead of throwing the paper into the bin throw it into the
water, regardless of the fact that it can greatly affect the state of the environment. To prevent
this, we should not pour sewage or any detergents into rivers, lake and all bodies of water
because not only we but also animals can suffer as a result of such behaviour.
Endangered species
Many animal species are threatened with extinction which is why most of them are under strict
protection. Some animals once lived in very large herds, today they are gone or there are only
a few members of a given species. They often die of natural causes, die in ambushes set by
people or by pollution found in the water from which they drink. To prevent this, do not throw
waste into forests, protect our environment. Let's remember about animals that suffer from this
every day.
Pollution is everywhere in larger and smaller quantities, some of which we have no influence
on. But let's try to harm our environment as little as possible, then maybe we can reduce the
amount of smog, improve the quality of air we breathe. I think that only then the number of
people's illnesses and the frequency of extinction of endangered animal species will certainly
decrease.
WE HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF OUR ENVIRONMENT AND DON'T LET ANYONE
DESTROY IT !!!
“Our environment” by Filip
The environment is a place which we live in. Human race plays an important role in
environmental degradation. The current state of the Earth which we observe is related to the
exploitation of the earth and its resources.
In addition, the Earth cannot restore balance due to the use of the environment. Human strength
created and destroyed life on Earth.
Pollution of the environment, direct and indirect, makes life unavailable for people and other
species.
Carbon and dust particles combined with air in the form of smog, destroy the respiratory system.
These are units of industrial emissions and production by burning fossil fuels, car exhaust fumes
and vapors.
In addition, they affect the immune system of birds that are carriers of viruses and infections.
Chemical and human waste destroys soil by its decomposition. Some chemicals are also
introduced into the soil and water, resulting in its destruction.
In addition, water can become contaminated easily with all sorts of pollutants, no matter if they
are of human or industrial origin. The same contaminated water is also used to irrigate crops
and for drinking purposes. What is more animals die as well because of drinking polluted water.
In addition, about 80% of chemical, industrial pollution and agricultural waste penetrate water
bodies.
Because of the soil and water contamination crops and agricultural products also become toxic.
What's more, this contracted food has a major negative effect on health and organs.
Climate change is also associated with the pollution of the environment. It also affects the
physical and biological elements of the ecosystem.
What's more, ozone depletion, greenhouse gases, global warming, all these climate changes are
main causes of the severe environmental pollution.
In addition, their effects can be fatal to our future generations. Irregular and extremely cold and
hot climate has major influence on the ecological system of the Earth.
In summary, man used the wealth of nature at the expense of his health and the environment.
In addition, the effects of such behaviour are clearly seen nowadays and are the result of human
degrading activity for hundreds or thousands of years.
First of all, if we want to survive and continue our life on Earth, we need to take some action
now. These countermeasures will help secure our future.

Esseys on environment protection by Polish students

  • 1. ESSEYS ON ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION BY POLISH STUDENTS ,,Air pollution’’ by Andżelika L. In the past the air was much cleaner than it is now. The development of industry has the biggest impact on the air cleanliness. Nowadays, in the industrial countries (in North America and in Europe) almost every adult has got own car. It also affects the quality of air greatly. Another problem which contributes to air pollution is the problem of deforestation. It is said that forests are green lungs of the world. We all need clean air just to live and survive! Unfortunately, poor quality of air is very harmful to our health. Many people in the whole world come down with different illnesses every day. Those include, for example: - problems with heart, lungs - asthma - some kind of allergies - problems with skin like rash Although people know a lot about air pollution and its impact on our lives, it is very difficult to do something about it. Unluckily, the development of the industry and technology is one of the main purposes of air pollution. But at the same time, new technologies are also very important in our lives – cars and modern gadgets ( phones, smartphones, TV etc.) make our lives more comfortable. The level of air pollution has reached a critical point but there are still ways in which we can reduce the number of air pollutants. First of all, we need to use public transport, plant more trees, use ecological bio-fuels and stop replacing our old smartphones or other devices with the new ones just to have some new functions or applications. To sum it up, we can say that the air we breathe is getting more and more polluted day by day. The most negative contribution to the increase of the level of air pollution has the usage of fossil
  • 2. fuels because nitric and sulphuric oxides are the by-products of that process. However, people treat this problem seriously and are devotedly working to eradicate the problem that they have created. We must remember that people themselves have the greatest impact on their own lives! “Our planet” by Kinga B. The Earth is a large planet where a lot of people live, therefore flora and fauna and air are threatened by the human activity. Air pollution consists of a lot of factors such as vehicle exhaust fumes, coal stoves, an ozone hole, garbage, no recycling, cow breeding (methane), sewage gases, smoke from chimneys, etc. All types of combustion vehicles should be exchanged for bicycles, electric vehicles etc. The coal stoves should be converted to heating systems using solar energy. We also need to take care of recycling, i.e. sort waste at home, throw it into appropriate waste bins. We can also clean forests, cities, meadows, roads etc. to reduce the amount of hazardous waste. The cow farms produce high levels of greenhouse gas emissions which increase the greenhouse effect and reduce the number of arable fields. Sewage also has a negative effect on the air purity because it poisons lakes, rivers, soil and places where it occur so the sewage treatment plants should be established as soon as possible wherever the threat of soil contamination is present. However, this is connected with the smoke from the chimneys, so we have to put filters on the chimneys of factories, houses, etc. We are obliged to care for our planet, we must take care of future generations so each of us should think about the environmental pollution and related diseases such as allergies , asthma and other health problems. Many species of animals are becoming extinct due to environmental pollution. The greenhouse effect that we experience severely affects animals around the world. Many interesting and useful species are threatened with total extinction. We are the people - as homo sapiens we are responsible for what the future of our planet will be like. The poor condition of the Earth nowadays shows the extent of our negligence over the years and the effectsofwhich we observe by the occurence ofatmospheric phenomena including hurricanes, cyclones, fires, drought and floods. We - the ordinary people and politicians! We must spring into action and take the lead for the sake of future generations and our BELOVED and BEAUTIFUL EARTH. “Environment protection” by Karol B. Nature, everything that surrounds us. Yes, it's beautiful. However, if we want to keep its beauty, we must work together. We must get rid of the areas polluted by humans as they are threatening our lives and animals' lives too. The environment can be saved from deforestation, air pollution, water pollution, and animals can be saved from going extinct. Just a bit work. Let's get into it. Many people walk around the parks and, if they have something useless in their pockets, like wrappers they throw them away onto the ground which then is decomposed by the little organisms living in the ground. This causes soil contamination. We don't have to do that. We can set up trash cans in the parks to help prevent that process. The same goes with dogs'
  • 3. excrements. The owner of a dog - if going for a walk with your pet - you must take a special bag and a spade to pick up the dog’s poop and throw it into the dog waste bin. The next problem is air pollution. The factories we see in our cities landscape are producing a lot of smoke coming out of their chimneys. To solve this, they can use chimney filters that cleanse the air coming out from the chimney that remove any harmful particles for the living organisms. We can also use electric cars in order to not produce any smoke coming out of the typical cars' exhaust pipes. Water pollution is the contamination of water bodies caused by humans. This one is really dangerous as it can grow from a polluted lake to a polluted ocean and dead water organisms. This is the cause of releasing wastewater to clean, natural water bodies, chemical pollution from the factories, accidental deadly substances leakages, burning of fossil fuels, mining activities and more. First of all, we got to dispose of waste properly, not throw it directly to the ocean. The ships transporting resources must be careful not to drop off any toxic chemicals in the water by accident or on purpose. Pollution from the industry can be fixed with filters as said in air pollution problem solving. Burning coal produces particles with toxic chemicals which mix with water in the air and cause acid rains. Then the acidic substances and particles fall into the ocean. To prevent this in our homes, we can use radiators instead of furnaces. In factories, put filters on chimneys. Mining coal also produces toxic chemicals that mix with water. Mining industries use a lot of water in the cycle of their operations, so they have to reduce it. Deforestation can be stopped by planting a lot of trees, though some of the forests burn. This is because people that visit the areas of nature litter them heavily with glass bottles or similar objects. The glass, if left in the sun, reflects the sunrays on the trees making them ignite and burn. Trees are very important to our lives. They produce oxygen for us to breathe. If we lower the amount of them, we might as well just die. People really don't need that big amount of wood, we can limit it. Also, we can buy recycled products and recycle them again. The last problem on the list is: Endangered species –more and more common occurrence within a lot of animal species. There are lot of animals that have gone extinct. We can't let the other ones die as well. The conservation of endangered species is important for human exsitence. A well balanced ecosystem gives us clean air to breathe. Hunters have to abandon their jobs to let the animals breed. They can become guards at the zoo, where they can watch over the animals. The endangered species are forbidden to be killed and have to be transported to the zoos or left them live quietly in the forests. There is also one problem which has to do with environment protection and it's especially dangerous. It's the hole in the ozone layer. This is because people use more deodorants that contain chlorofluorocarbon or CFC for short. It causes for the ozone layer to weaken and let the harmful UV radiation from the Sun to get to Earth. The hole is located at the Antarctica biome. The UV radiation can cause skin cancer. There is a simple solution how to deal with it. We have to limit the use of freons and replace deodorants and sprays with something different. You must wear a wide brim hat to shade your face, neck and shoulders. Wear sunglasses that protect your eyes and use sunscreen. Also avoid indoor tanning.
  • 4. That's all I wanted to tell you. I hope you're careful out there for your life and the environment. “Enviromental Pollution” by Dawid B. The enviromental pollution is a huge problem nowadays. It is caused by thoughtlessness of people. What else can we call throwing garbage into water, or burning trash? All these things affect the air and water condition. There are a lot of examples of polluting our planet. For example, factories and heavy industry. What can we do? Very important thing is not throwing garbage anywhere we want as we must throw it to the proper bins and recycle it as a consequence. We must stop burning inappropriate things in the furnaces. The country must start using renewable energy sources, stop factories' work and start producing things from renewable materials. That's all we can do. When we do it, our planet "will be happy" and people will understand that this will be the best way of helping the environment and that life will become better. “Environmental pollution” by Maja Over the time, the environment became more and more polluted and many people don’t realize the threat. Water waste, air pollution and trash on every corner are only few examples of littering our planet, but there are many ways to stop that. First of all, to reduce pollution of the Earth we should primarily sort waste. Most of people don’t do that, but it’s very important because thanks to that trash doesn’t go to waste dump and it isn’t burnt but other recycled materials are made of it instead which also reduces plastic production. Another way of protecting the environment is saving water. Nowadays, on the Earth there is less and less drinking water that’s why we should save it. Instead of taking a bath, we can take a shower and when we brush our teeth we should turn off the tap. An important thing is also waste of food. To produce all the food we throw away, huge amount of water is needed that’s why we should think before throwing away edible food. Air pollution is also the serious problem. If the place where we are going is near enough, we should take a bike or walk there in order not to produce unnecessary exhaust fumes. All in all, we must take care of our planet because it’s our home and it has to serve many generations to come. If we start doing proper things now as far as the environment protection is concerned we will be able to save the Earth when we still have the chance of doing so.
  • 5. “Environmental pollution” by Ewa B. Environmental pollution is a problem that people are trying to fight, but not everyone is interested of doing so. It is worth considering that the introduction of harmful substances into the air, water and soil, in addition to the negative impact on the state of nature's ecosystems, the climate on Earth, is a direct threat to human health. Six million people die annually due to water and air pollution. The most serious effects of degradation on Earth so far include global warming, the ozone hole, smog, acid rains, ground level ozone, noise and odours. Ground-level ozone is a colourless and highly irritating gas that forms just above the earth's surface. It is called a "secondary" pollutant because it is produced when two primary pollutants react in sunlight and stagnant air. These two primary pollutants are nitrogen oxides (NOx) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). At today's pace of development and increased consumption, it is difficult to reduce environmental pollution, but through daily activities we can try to prevent this problem: - Sorting waste - waste thrown into appropriate containers can be used as a secondary raw material, thanks to which it will not end up in a landfill - save water - by brushing your teeth or washing dishes, turn off the tap when you do not need any more water. In this way, the amount of sewage generated is limited. - do not burn garbage in the furnace - hazardous waste such as sulphur dioxide, nitrous oxide or carbon monoxide is generated when burning waste in the households’ furnaces. In addition, burning rubbish at home canr esult in a high fine of up to PLN 5,000. - travel by bike or choose a short walk - if the distance to travel is not great, instead of choosing a car, choose a bike - in this way you will save money you would spend on fuel and increase your physical fitness. - Avoid toxic aerosols with freons - Freons can be found in refrigerators as refrigerants, but also in aerosols in sprays. They are very dangerous organic compounds containing chlorine and fluorine which destroy the ozone layer. I hope you will comply with these advice and start caring for the environment. ,,Help the Earth!” by Inez Currently there are more and more ecological problems on Earth. The environment is constantly littered, natural resources are being depleted and destroyed. The extraction of natural resources has led to a sharp decline in the amount of resources. The emission of toxic gases and dusts by industrial plants has led to air poisoning. The area of woodland is being reduced. Environmental disasters are becoming more and more common: for example, power plant failures. More and more animals and plant species are dying out. The harmony between man and nature has been disturbed. Are we facing an environmental crisis? Already several decades ago, the threat of a global environmental crisis was recognized, as evidenced by the words of Swedish Prime Minister - Olof Palme at the international environmental conference in Stockholm in 1972 “It's about the survival of humanity in our cramped humanity [..]”.
  • 6. The problem is the air pollution. In order to solve the contemporary problems of our environment, the efforts of one or more countries are not enough, we must all join forces. The ecological problems of our planet and their solution must make everyone aware of the importance of a clean environment and harmony between humans and nature. “Save the environment” by Konrad Nature around us is slowly dying more and more due to lots of different factors, which are the result of negative effects of revolution of our society. However, we can also do things to help and save the environment around us. Let's start with air and soil pollution. These are quite common problems all around the world. For air pollution, we can install filters on chimneys in our houses, or even more important, factories because that is where most of the pollution is coming from. We can also use more public transport than our own cars, or even better, we can just use bikes to ride to places that are near us. For soil pollution, or soil contamination, we can pick up trash and throw it into a trash cans near you. There is also problem of resource depletion. To help solve this one, we can for example use solar or wind energy. It might be pricey to install one, but it's going to pay off. We can also turn off any electronics if we don't use them for a long time. Deforestation is also a big problem, as trees are very important because they transform CO2 to oxygen which we breathe with. We can plant trees which we can find in most gardening stores, as that helps a lot. There are also things that we can't do, as they make some problems even worse. For example, we can't throw trash into water as we are making the problem of water pollution even worse, or, we can't cut down trees because it not only makes the problem of deforestation even worse, but we also cut down home for some endangered species of animals which doesn't help them. There are also some problems, which we - normal people, can't really help with. For example, we can't really help with nuclear waste. Overall, there are a lot of things we can do to help save the world, and maybe in the future, some of these problems will disappear. “My solutions” by Maciej As we all know our planet is facing a really hard time. It’s being destroyed by things like climate change , air pollution, water pollution, resource depletion (over-consumption) , deforestation , soil contamination and nuclear waste. Not only the environment is being destroyed gradually. More and more animal species are facing extinction. We need to do something to help our
  • 7. planet. Solutions For the problem of air pollution we can use public transport, put filters on factory chimneys and change a coal furnace to a new environmental-friendly one. We can dispose of waste properly and recycle more to help solve the problem of resource depletion (over-consumption). Cleaning the soil from toxic substances and deacidifaction of acidified soils and limiting industrial sources of soil pollution using modern environmentally friendly technologies will solve the problem of soil contamination. To help endangered species we can build more national parks and create conservation programmes. To solve the problem of deforestation we can plant more trees. Turning off unused electronic devices, hanging the laundry to dry and using less water can help solve the problem of climate change. My opinion I think that all of those things which destroy the environment cannot be disregarded. Earth is our home so we must take care of it. If all of us used the solutions I have presented we can make a difference and we can solve those problems once and for all. “The state of the environment at present” by Nikola We live in time and part of the Earth where we can meet a lot of environmental changes like weather, level and component of water, differences of temperatures, moisture of the air, pressure and many others. I am really worried about the future of our planet as I see personally the changes that have come in the last few years. I see that summer is very hot and very dry in Poland, almost as in the desert. Winter is merely present. We have very limited snowy days, only a few days of temperatures below zero, the plants behave the similar as in the spring time. I think that human race made pollution be a reason that we have so many problems with breathing, drinking soft drinks, eating healthy and no-chemistry remade food. It's very sad that we have to meet the problems with Australia’s drought causes damages and pain of many plants and animals. I think that international cooperation efforts can help to save the planet from very destructive influence of humans. I confirm that I am worried about our planet and I wish people think about its future and saving as much as it will be possible. “Air pollution” by Maria P. Environmental pollution is something that affects us all every day. Air pollution is just one of many things caused by people.
  • 8. Air pollution doesn’t come from nowhere. We contribute to this and we aren’t aware of the consequences it will have in the future. There are a lot of factors which cause air pollution. Such as the transport industry, the Energy industry and the industrialization of cities. The smoke and the smoke combined with fog causes smog. Another side effect is acid rain, which contains acids produced by the reaction of water with absorbed gases such as sulphur dioxide, sulphur trioxide, nitrogen oxides, hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide and hydrogen chloride. They are the effect of volcanic eruptions, fuel combustion, fuel production, atmospheric discharges and other natural phenomena. It is also worth mentioning that deforestation affects the air negatively because trees absorb CO2 and produce O2. To protect the environment, we must start helping it become cleaner. We should use public transport as often as possible. We must use renewable energy (solar panels and wind energy). It would be a very good solution. I think these activities would help to prevent air pollution, but everyone must try and want to do it. “Air Pollution” by Angela P. Earlier the air we breathe in used to be pure and fresh. But, due to increasing industrialization and concentration of poisonous gases in the environment the air is getting more and more toxic day by day. Also, these gases are the cause of many respiratory and other diseases. Moreover, the rapidly increasing human activities like the burning of fossil fuels, deforestation is the major cause of air pollution. How Air Gets Polluted? The fossil fuels, firewood, and other things that we burn produce oxides of carbons which got released into the atmosphere. Earlier there happened to be a large number of trees which could easily filter the air we breathed in. But with the increase in demand for land, the people started cutting down of trees which caused deforestation. That ultimately reduced the filtering capacity of the tree. Moreover, during the last few decades, the numbers of fossil fuel burning by vehicles increased rapidly which increased the number of pollutants in the air. Causes Of Air Pollution Its causes include burning of fossil fuel and firewood, smoke released from factories, volcanic eruptions, forest fires, bombardment, asteroids, CFCs (Chlorofluorocarbons), carbon oxides and many more. Besides, there are some other air pollutants like industrial waste, agricultural waste, power plants, thermal nuclear plants, etc. Greenhouse Effect The greenhouse effect is also the cause of air pollution because air pollution produces the gases that greenhouse involves. Besides, it increases the temperature of earth surface so much that the polar caps are melting and most of the UV rays are easily penetrating the surface of the earth.
  • 9. Effects Of Air Pollution On Health The air pollution has many bad effects on the health of people. It is the cause of many skins and respiratory disorder in human beings. Also, it causes heart disease too. Air pollution causes asthma, bronchitis, and many other diseases. Moreover, it increases the rate of aging of lungs, decreases lungs function, damage cells in the respiratory system. Ways To Reduce Air Pollution Although the level of air pollution has reached a critical point. But, there are still ways by which we can reduce the number of air pollutants from the air. Reforestation- The quality of air can be improved by planting more and more trees as they clean and filter the air. Policy for industries- Strict policy for industries related to the filter of gases should be introduced in the countries. So, we can minimize the toxins released from factories. Use of eco-friendly fuel- We have to adopt the usage of Eco-friendly fuels such as LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas), CNG (Compressed Natural Gas), bio-gas, and other eco-friendly fuels. So, we can reduce the amount of harmful toxic gases. To sum it up, we can say that the air we breathe is getting more and more polluted day by day. The biggest contribution to the increase in air pollution is of fossil fuels which produce nitric and sulphuric oxides. But, humans have taken this problem seriously and are devotedly working to eradicate the problem that they have created. Above all, many initiatives like plant trees, use of eco-friendly fuel are promoted worldwide. “Environment pollution” by Weronika G. With the increase in the number of people on Earth and the activity of the industry, the total number increases in the environment. Every year, 6 million people die because of the range of different illnesses connected with the environment. The environmental pollution is caused by natural sources (e.g. volcanic eruptions) and anthropogenic or artificial, human activity. Only a few centuries ago, the use of natural origin dominated in the environment. The natural sources that contaminate the air we breathe include volcanic eruptions, rock erosion, forest fires, cosmic dust. On the other hand, water pollution results from the presence of salts, microorganisms, organic substances and was often associated with leaching of these substances from rocks and soils. According to UNESCO experts, currently the most dangerous chemical compounds that pollute the environment are: carbondioxide - one of the causes of the greenhouse effect, carbon monoxide, sulphur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide. Water pollution causes can be divided on natural (autochthonous) and anthropogenic (allochthonous) origin. Factors affecting the degradation of water can be divided into: natural, artificial, due to the state of aggregation: volatile, liquid and solid, agricultural chemical compounds, breeding waste. The pollution of
  • 10. soil and the amount of radioactive substances and microorganisms occurring in higher amounts exceed their normal, natural content. They come from with solid and liquid industrial and municipal waste, the main ones emitted from units, internal combustion engines, and agricultural substances. Air pollutants arise from gaseous, solid or liquid substances in the air in higher amounts than their average content. The main sources include: thermal power engineering, transport system, chemical conversion of fuels, extraction and transport of raw materials, chemical industry, refining industry, metallurgy, cement industry, cement and raw materials, waste, automotive industry. Types of environmental pollution include air pollution, water pollution, soil pollution, noise pollution, light pollution, landscape pollution and radioactive contamination. The effects of air pollution include global warming, the ozone hole, smog, acid rains, ground-level ozone, noise, and odours. Global warming is the gradual increase in average global temperature by emitting large amounts of harmul gasses into the atmosphere. The ozone hole is created by the emission of freons and nitrogen oxides. Ozone layer in the upper atmosphere protects living organisms from the harmful UV radiation. Smog is associated with emissions of exhaust gasses and dust into the atmosphere by cars and industrial plants. Acid rain is created through the emission of sulphur oxides and nitrogen oxides into the atmosphere. In combination with water containing strong acids like sulphuric acid and nitric acid the acid rains are created. Noise is produced by means of transport and technical equipment, but also it is created by people causing continuous emission of sounds in the highly populated areas. Odours are the result of presence in the air around stimulating olfactory receptors (odorants). Most often there are different categories of odours available in very small quantities. There are many ways to solve this problem, e.g. recycling, waste segregation, planting new trees, using public transport and installing filters on factory chimneys. “Environment protection in Poland” by Wiktor The situation of environment protection in Poland is not good because people of this country didn't care about it for many years. We have a problem of smog every winter. A lot of people heat their houses with hard coal and wood some or even trash which is very toxic. Another problem are cars which we use. Most of Polish cars have got gas engines. If we want to change our country and protect our environment, we have to change our thinking. Some people don't care what will happen in the future but for me it is very important. I'm young and my life has just begun. First of all we should help people to change the old stoves to the ecological ones. I think the Polish government should give money for it, not only 30% of costs. The next problem is cars because the electric cars are very expensive and there aren't many charging stations for electric cars in Poland. Of course we can buy hybrid cars which are cheaper but they use a gas and electricity. In my opinion if we want to protect our environment, we should do it together and help people
  • 11. who have got problems with protection of our country. We should learn on the lessons how to protect nature more effective. “How to prevent the pollution of the environment” by Zuzia G. There is a lot of pollution that we can't handle, and we would like our environment to be clean and healthy. Here are some examples of how we can prevent environmental pollution: Air pollution Many people do not realize how polluted our air is. People smoke in furnaces with various things, e.g. rubber, plastic and have no idea that they contribute to pollution of our environment greatly. One of the main effects is smog which can often be observed in many larger cities. It is not good for our health, therefore, to prevent it, we can use ecological means of transport instead of cars, i.e. bicycles, skateboards, etc. or use public transport. Of course, this is not always possible, but still we can at least try to drive our cars as little as possible. Water pollution The problem of the modern world is not only water pollution, but also its shortcomings. Increasingly, people waste water when watering plants too often, or even brushing their teeth. Many people are unaware that we may run out of drinking water in a few decades. Some people walking next to a river or a lake instead of throwing the paper into the bin throw it into the water, regardless of the fact that it can greatly affect the state of the environment. To prevent this, we should not pour sewage or any detergents into rivers, lake and all bodies of water because not only we but also animals can suffer as a result of such behaviour. Endangered species Many animal species are threatened with extinction which is why most of them are under strict protection. Some animals once lived in very large herds, today they are gone or there are only a few members of a given species. They often die of natural causes, die in ambushes set by people or by pollution found in the water from which they drink. To prevent this, do not throw waste into forests, protect our environment. Let's remember about animals that suffer from this every day. Pollution is everywhere in larger and smaller quantities, some of which we have no influence on. But let's try to harm our environment as little as possible, then maybe we can reduce the amount of smog, improve the quality of air we breathe. I think that only then the number of people's illnesses and the frequency of extinction of endangered animal species will certainly decrease. WE HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF OUR ENVIRONMENT AND DON'T LET ANYONE DESTROY IT !!!
  • 12. “Our environment” by Filip The environment is a place which we live in. Human race plays an important role in environmental degradation. The current state of the Earth which we observe is related to the exploitation of the earth and its resources. In addition, the Earth cannot restore balance due to the use of the environment. Human strength created and destroyed life on Earth. Pollution of the environment, direct and indirect, makes life unavailable for people and other species. Carbon and dust particles combined with air in the form of smog, destroy the respiratory system. These are units of industrial emissions and production by burning fossil fuels, car exhaust fumes and vapors. In addition, they affect the immune system of birds that are carriers of viruses and infections. Chemical and human waste destroys soil by its decomposition. Some chemicals are also introduced into the soil and water, resulting in its destruction. In addition, water can become contaminated easily with all sorts of pollutants, no matter if they are of human or industrial origin. The same contaminated water is also used to irrigate crops and for drinking purposes. What is more animals die as well because of drinking polluted water. In addition, about 80% of chemical, industrial pollution and agricultural waste penetrate water bodies. Because of the soil and water contamination crops and agricultural products also become toxic. What's more, this contracted food has a major negative effect on health and organs. Climate change is also associated with the pollution of the environment. It also affects the physical and biological elements of the ecosystem. What's more, ozone depletion, greenhouse gases, global warming, all these climate changes are main causes of the severe environmental pollution. In addition, their effects can be fatal to our future generations. Irregular and extremely cold and hot climate has major influence on the ecological system of the Earth. In summary, man used the wealth of nature at the expense of his health and the environment. In addition, the effects of such behaviour are clearly seen nowadays and are the result of human degrading activity for hundreds or thousands of years. First of all, if we want to survive and continue our life on Earth, we need to take some action now. These countermeasures will help secure our future.
