A volcano is a
"hole" in the
ground from
which lava flows.

Inside the earth is a
hot mass of molten
rock and minerals. It is
boiling magma.
MAGMA
Lava, or hot magma,
which flows out of the
volcano, lifts the shell
up on one side, and
rebuilds it on the other.
