Conversion Process
• Next-gen cloud only available under the flat
$/server/mo pricing model
– Existing partners currently on the legacy $/GB/mo pricing model do
have to switch to the new pricing model to take advantage of the
new features; however, these partners can bring their own licenses
(including any perpetual licenses their end-users own)
– You do not have to convert the data of all existing backups to the
new cloud; however, the pricing model will change for all backups
• Next-gen cloud requires that you are locally encrypting
your ShadowProtect backups
• On June 1, your account manager will have full details
on requesting access to the next-gen cloud and on the
conversion process
– Any servers converted to the next-gen cloud will have to be
reseeded (over the network or physically on disk)
– Partners who have large server backups that have difficulty staying
caught up on monthly deltas will receive highest priority
