Genre re-search questionnaire
1. In terms of culture, stereotypes, fashion and traits what is your instant thought
when you think of Indi pop?
I think that the culture is very individual and part of a niche market. The stereotypes
I would associate with it are “hipsters” and people being different. The fashion I
would say is vintage clothing that isn’t ‘in your face’ but still stands out.
2. What would you imagine an Indi pop music video to be like? Such as band
members, playing of instruments, traits of individuality. (performance, narrative,
conceptual)
I would probably say performance mixed with conceptual.
3. Are you a fan of Indi pop yourself?
I am not x
4. What would you imagine the age range of the target audience of Indi Pop to be?
16 – 30
5. Do you enjoy live music?
Yes I do x
6. Do you listen to mainly signed bands with big brands and labels, or enjoy
discovering new ones that are individual?
A bit of both
