11. Leadership
In these times, it is crucial to secure your relevance as a
manager. Therefore, when the office has been moved to the
home, we do not set, but reschedule.
How does the manager lead remotely?
What applies in labor law in coronation times?
Strengthen your leadership and get the support you as a
manager need in tough times.
12. How to Lead Successful Teams when Everyone is Remote
Rachel Lefkowitz | March 30, 2020
Working from home has become the new normal. But normal doesn’t
mean everything will come naturally—especially for managers.
13.
14. ADMINISTATORS Develop a straightforward
institutional plan
Define the default model.
Let students know what to
expect
Don’t overdo the
technological response
15. RESOURCES - COVID-19 CALL FOR ACTION
ON TEACHERS
• Response to the COVID-19 Outbreak - Call for Action on Teachers
• Teachers are the backbone of education systems and the key to
reaching learning goals, regardless of context and situation.
Within the COVID-19 crisis, they are on the front line in ensuring
that learning continues.
• As of 25 March, 63 million primary and secondary school teachers
have been affected by the nationwide school closures happening
in 165 countries.
• The International Task Force on Teachers for Education 2030 calls
on all governments, education providers and funders – public
and private – to recognise the critical roles that teachers play in
the COVID-19 response and recovery.
16. EDUCATORS Don’t go wild and crazy
Use and support the
tools already available.
Use the analytics
Be as responsive as
possible
If you've no
institutional guidance

19. Time to work from home?
• Away is good but home
is best! For most of us,
the home is our place
for relaxation and
recovery. But in the
current situation, the
home also becomes a
workplace for many of
us. We live in a time
where it is possible for
us to do most activities
remotely.
21. • Internet
• computer or tablet
• a workplace where you do
not disturb others
• a workplace where you are
not disturbed by others
• logins to the digital
platforms or tools you need
• knowledge of how to use different
digital tools and systems
• digital channels where you can
connect with your classmates and
teachers
• a workplace where you can sit for
a while without getting tired of the
body
• good lighting (avoid reflections in
the screen, the ability to draw
curtains, etc.)
22. Strategies to success
• Tip 1: Keep your regular routines
• Tip 2: Write a “To Do List” and plan your day
• Tip 3: Avoid anything that distracts you (eg your
mobile phone)
• Tip 4: Schedule your breaks
• Tip 5: Have video meetings with your colleagues
• Tip 6: End the day in time
28. To minimise the
impact of COVID-19,
the Commonwealth of
Learning (COL) and
the OERu are joining
forces with
the UNESCO Institute
for Information
Technologies in
Education (IITE) and
the International
Council for Open and
Distance
Education (ICDE) to
support education
institutions around
the world
transitioning to online
learning using open
educational resources
(OER).
