1.What is SDA Batch ‘78 Night High School Scholarship Project?
The Night High School Scholarship Project is an educational grant that will be awarded by SDA Batch ’78 Alumni
Association, Inc. to 2 deserving high school freshmen of St. Dominic Academy of Pulilan, Bulacan under the Night
High School Program.
2.When will the scholarship project starts and for how long?
The project will start at the beginning of school year 2010‐11. It is a 5‐year scholarship grant.
3.What is the total cost of this scholarship project?
The total cost of this scholarship project is approximately Php350,000. Two deserving students will be granted
Night High School scholarship grant in the amount not exceeding Php35,000 each every year, for 5 years. This
will cover: tuition fees, textbooks, shoes & uniforms, transportation allowance, and other school‐related
miscellaneous and incidental expenses.
4.Where will the money come from to fund this scholarship project?
Money allocated for this scholarship project will come from alumni members and other donors who submitted
and fulfilled their pledges.
5.Can I still make a pledge or a donation to this scholarship project?
Yes, pledges and donations are welcome anytime.
6.How can I be sure that the money I pledge/donate will go to this scholarship project?
All pledges, donations, and any financial transactions specific to this scholarship project will be noted as such
with proper documentations. A monthly financial report will also be provided to all donors of this scholarship
project.
7.Where can I send the money for this scholarship project and will I get a receipt for my donations?
Money can be sent directly to an already established SDA Batch ’78 bank account at:

Receipts will be provided for every donations made.
8.How will funds be disbursed to the scholars?
The Scholarship Committee will be responsible in the disbursement of funds. Tuition costs and other school fees
will be paid directly to the school. All other school‐related expenses such as textbooks, shoes & uniform,
transportation allowance etc. will be deposited directly to a bank account setup for the scholar and will be
available for withdrawal at the beginning of each month during the school year. All other unexpected expenses
will be reviewed by the Committee before disbursement.

9. Who are the recipients of this scholarship grant?
Recipients of this scholarship grant must be current residents of Pulilan, Bulacan and entering first‐year
students of St. Dominic Academy Night High School Program.
10. Who can become a recipient of this scholarship grant?
The following initial qualifications should be met to become a recipient of this scholarship. Please refer to
the complete Scholarship Guidelines in the succeeding pages:
a) Any entering first year student of St. Dominic Academy Night High School Program
b) Current resident of Pulilan, Bulacan
c) Letter of Recommendation from St. Dominic Academy screening committee handling the Night High
School program
11. Can a child, relative, or a friend’s child of an SDA Batch ‘78 alumni apply for this scholarship grant?
This scholarship is open to all who are qualified. Yes, children, relatives or a friend’s child (of an SDA batch
‘78) can apply for this scholarship grant but does not guarantee acceptance. This scholarship project is
a competitive process. All applications will be reviewed and evaluated for eligibility and qualifications.
Grant is awarded to the best candidates.
12. Who will be managing this scholarship project?
The scholarship project shall be managed by a scholarship committee consisting of a chairman and four
alumni members of SDA Batch ’78. Membership in this committee will be done by appointment or
volunteer selection as determined by SDA Batch ’78 alumni members.
13. What will happen if funds are no longer enough to support this scholarship project?
This scholarship project is subject to availability of funds. The Scholarship Committee will regularly review
and evaluate the financial conditions of our funds and will make a decision on the continuance of the
program. However, the Scholarship Committee will make every effort to solicit more funds, in order
to sustain the project.
14. What will happen if there are excess funds donated to this scholarship project?
Depending on what is agreed upon by all donors and the Scholarship Committee, any remaining funds at the
end of this scholarship project could be re‐allocated to other charitable activities OR deposited to SDA
Batch ’78 General Funds OR refunded to all donors on a pro‐rated basis (calculated percentage of
donations made by each donor).
15. Who should I ask if I have more questions , clarifications, concerns, or need more information regarding this
