Update on Activities e-Journal Archiving Costs Neil Mayo LOCKSS and other systems require carefully managed infrastructural support at the institutional level . How can institutions provision appropriate cross-cutting funding to support their e-journal preservation strategy? One of our aims is to improve the self-sufficiency and usability of LOCKSS, reducing the support burden for IT departments and the overall costs of maintenance. Please note that LOCKSS subscription costs are remaining the same for the coming year 2011/12. The renewal agreement can be found on the JISC Collections website.

  • 9. Update on Activities e-Journal Archiving Costs Neil Mayo LOCKSS and other systems require carefully managed infrastructural support at the institutional level . How can institutions provision appropriate cross-cutting funding to support their e-journal preservation strategy? One of our aims is to improve the self-sufficiency and usability of LOCKSS, reducing the support burden for IT departments and the overall costs of maintenance. Please note that LOCKSS subscription costs are remaining the same for the coming year 2011/12. The renewal agreement can be found on the JISC Collections website.
