- Today I’d like to speak to you about Second Life, or SL. Who are in SL? What do people do in SL? What’s so promising about SL? And in case you’re interested, how to get started with SL.
- SL is a virtual world with 1 million regular users, mostly coming from the United States, Europe, Canada, Brazil. While in Second Life, most of these users use money to purchase virtual items. In SL, the money used is Linden dollars.

- The exchange rate changes depending on supply and demand, but it is roughly $250 lindens to a dollar. I was in Hungary last week and couldn’t help but notice that the exchange rate for forints is so similar to linden dollars. The exchange rate in Hungary is roughly 220 forints to a dollar.
