1. My Arrival at Servite
•Before I arrived I e-mailed the head teacher and
Mr Gauci replied informing me of the relevant
details.
•When I arrived I met my mentor and I was
introduced to the staff.
•We spoke about the school and the expectations
for myself and mentor.
•I was given a timetable for the first week and then
a new one for after this.
• We arranged to meet each week to discuss
objectives.
2. What I have seen:
•Assemblies each Monday morning – brings the school
together and then other assemblies in the week.
•All staff meet daily
•The use of the interactive whiteboard in each class.
•The pupils know what they are doing each day because
they discuss the timetable for that day.
•Behaviour management techniques.
•WALT and success criteria is shared with the children –
children know what their objectives are.
•The creative curriculum Topics – very different form
Spain.
4. What I have begun to do:
• Plan and prepare lessons with set objectives.
• Teach G&T Spanish to native speakers.
• Go to Music lessons as part of my specialism
and attend music trips / events.
• To observe teaching practise and support
small group in class (year 2 / 3 / 4)
• To be part of all Spanish lessons when
relevant.

• Prepare, Plan and teach Spanish music
lessons to Spanish children.
• Meet with Music specialist to understand the
curriculum.
• Deliver and assembly based on the G&T
