8. What makes a bad checklist? They are too long. They are hard to use. They are impractical. They are made by people with little awareness of the situations in which they are to be deployed. They treat the people using the tools as dumb and try to spell out every step. Checklist Manifesto p. 120

9. What makes a good checklist? They are precise. They are efficient. They are to the point. They do NOT try to spell everything out. They are the reminders of only the most critical and important steps. Above all, they are practical. Checklist Manifesto p. 120

10. The power of checklists The power of checklists is limited. They can help experts remember how to manage a complex process or complex machine. They can make priorities clear and prompt people to function better.
