- <number> 1641 Depositions – witness testimonies, mainly by Protestants, but also by Catholics concerning their experience during the 1641 Irish rebellion. These testimonies document different incidents like robbery, military actions, imprisonment and murder. 1916 Rising – documents events that happened during a rising that occurred at Enniscorthy (Ireland) in 1916. IPSA collection – a digital archive of illuminated medieval manuscripts, with high quality drawings and metadata (mainly herbs and astrology).

- <number> 1641 Depositions – witness testimonies, mainly by Protestants, but also by Catholics concerning their experience during the 1641 Irish rebellion. These testimonies document different incidents like robbery, military actions, imprisonment and murder.

- <number> User1 annotates deposition with annotation a1. The annotation refers to part of the text as highlighted in purple, and annotation type is “comment” (the html format allows formatting of comments). This annotation also relates to another deposition with “see also” link, and relates twice to the DBPedia page on Irish Rebellion – first mentioning a contributor, then with “see also” link where an image is used in annotation sign. User2 created an annotation an the deposition that a1 relates to - a simple but intuitive assumption is that these two researchers might have common topics of interest.
- Personalized search – boosting content/people that could be of more interest for me. Community features – we know what this community is interested in and recommend people for community, other communities, content.
- A very powerful tool for social analysis, network and recommendations. IBM connections – social software application (deployed in IBM, and is commercial) – blogs, wikis, file sharing… Left – suggestion of people to connect to (do you know), recommendations – content that might interest me. Middle – my things in common with Gail Chao. Right – communities recommended for me…
- Visualization of social network of people within IBM as retrieved by query “honda”. There is two slightly related communities, different colors for people stay for different countries, and different colors for their relations stay for different type of relationship: same organization, same communities, same tags, co-authorship…
- <number> We are interested to support social network of researchers by using their annotations – recommend content and people (other researchers that commented on the same deposition, and may be on the same part of it). Generate personal recommendations for researchers, based on depositions that worked with and annotations they made. Infer groups of researchers, may be forming them into communities of professional users.
