In GameUp we apply technologies that have proved
to be effective in modifying behaviours by engaging
and motivating users:
• By using persuasive technologies, serious games
and social computing.
• We use these technologies to promote
mobility by encouraging elderly persons to be
more physical active and motivating them to move
more, thus increasing their self-efficacy.

2. Walking app and professional portal
Walking app
A stepcounter is
used for endurance,
and a special app is
developed that
allows the users to
make personal and
group goals.
Professional portal
A professsional portal is under development. This will allow
professionals, for instance physitherapists or coaches, to
follow the progress of the users.
Kinect exergames
GameUp has made exergames for flexibility, strength and
balance for a Kinect camera. The camera has sensors to detect
if the exercises are well performed
The GameUp apple picking game is good for balance and is
also fun to play
A set of exercises
have been developed
for Kinect. They are
being made into

game story, game
rewards and
