EDUCATION
1985 -1991 : Studied Veterinary Medicine at Bangladesh Agricultural University,
Mymensingh, Bangladesh and obtained DVM (Doctor of Veterinary
Medicine) degree
1991-1992 : Obtained MSc (Vet Sc) in Pathology degree from Bangladesh
Agricultural University, Mymensingh after pursuing taught courses
and research work on isolation, identification and experimental
pathology of infectious bursal disease (Gumboro Disease) in chickens.
1996-1999 : Obtained PhD degree from the Institute of Veterinary Pathology,
University of Zurich, Switzerland, after conducting research work on
the immunopathogenesis of chlamydial infection in man and animals.
2001-2002 : Conducted Post Doctoral research work on food safety assessment of
GMOs at the National Institute of Animal health, Tsukuba, Japan, as
JSPS fellow.

• Served as expatriate consultant to train 640 DLS officers on Mad Cow disease and 300 hundred DAE
officers, BARI and BRRI scientists on Bio-safety. Served as trainer on Biosafety for US Embassy, BARC
