Idealism: Personal Philosophy Essay examples
My Personal Philosophy There are many philosophies and beliefs that can be acknowledged and
discussed in this world. Some made up and some that are supported by straight on evidence. Some
most would disagree with and others most would agree with. One thing I strongly believe is that
there is no right or wrong belief or philosophy, as long as you have reason to what you are speaking
of. You believe what you want to believe. Everyone thinks differently. The main three topics I will
share my beliefs about are reality, society and fate. I believe in idealism, that reality is a creation of
minds. Reality is within your mind. It is what you see and how you feel. Thoughts are so powerful
and real, they determine your actions which determine...show more content...
I agree with this completely due to personal experiences that have made me view reality
nowadays way more differently than I did before. Society is the way it is today because we
citizens, as society, have made it this way. Society is drunk off freedom and believes everything
should be handed to them with no questions asked. Nobody wants to earn anything anymore.
Society is too concerned with who's running in first place on American Idol rather than who's
running the country. We have made certain things, such as expensive clothes and fit, skinny
bodies, be glamorized for so long that it is considered as the better way of living in today's
society. I disagree with materialistic viewpoints. I don't think having lots of money and clothes
and objects make you rich. I believe being rich means that you appreciate everything you have.
The "good life" is a life you are proud to talk about, a life that makes you happy. You create your
own Utopia. I absolutely agree with this quote by German philosopher, Friedrich Nietzsche, as he
writes, "You have your way. I have my way. As for the right way, the correct way, and the only
way, it does not exist." This is true because there is no right or wrong way to live, whatever makes
you happy, do it. You should never punish someone for living how they want to live. Of course this
is to an extent because there are laws made up for the protection of citizens, but so what. As

Essay What I Believe
I believe in logic. I believe in reason. Specifically, I apply this logic to a major choice in my life,
that of religion. When someone asks you what your beliefs are, what's the first thing you think of?
For most people, religious orientation is the first thing that comes to mind. I have to say, this is the
first thing that came to my mind, although it was not a specific religion that came to mind for
myself, but rather, the complete lack of one. I am what one would consider atheistic; that is, I hold
no beliefs in any particular god, and I do not identify with any religious association. I am not simply
a non–practicing believer, as many people choose to proclaim when they fail to attend church
regularly. I have completely distanced myself...show more content...
Atheism has developed a skewed public perception over the years. Many believe that atheism is
the complete lack of a moral code. I find this concept laughable at best. Instead, I would argue that
a theist that does not perform an amoral action because they fear divine retribution is less moral
than an atheist that chooses not to perform an amoral action simply on the basis that it is an
amoral thing to do. I personally find my moral code to be on par with many of my theistic peers,
even though I developed my morals in absence of any religious input. It is my belief that atheism
rather than theism should be the default creed one should obtain before any religion is considered. I
find it odd that the majority of otherwise logical people choose to blindly follow that which has
been placed before them in ancient texts and soapbox speeches.
Many ask me: "Why? Why set this as your default?" My only answer is that we cannot follow
blindly the fables of another. We must determine our own paths through what we know to be true.
Basic truths can be discovered through our own experimentation. For example, I discovered gravity
at a young age while struggling and failing with the concept of walking. The concept of gravity is an
unchanging truth for me, one that I determined on my own. We can use these fundamental rules of
knowledge to create more complex guidelines as to how the universe operates. Through this process
I have come discover many things that I hold true about this

In my "This I Believe" essay about stress I tried to use a combination of ethos and pathos as a way
to appeal to my audience which happens to be college students Regarding ethos I used this
rhetoric because anyone with morals will feel some sort of sympathy for someone who feeling is
stressed or depressed therefore evoking emotion out of the audience. Not only that but I tried to
promote positivity within my essay because only talking about the negative effects of stress would
be counterproductive to the essay itself since it isn't supposed to be preachy or negative so therefore
I tried to incorporate some things that my audience could use to overcome stress such as going to
counselors, friends, families, and their fraternity or sorority by

I Believe
I believe that education is the basic foundation of any society, and that the way in which a student
is motivated during their education will inevitably determine their degree of success or failure in
the future. Only after my graduation from high school and my entrance into college did I realize
how significant the role of a teacher really is in relation to the shaping of a society. In their
classrooms, they have the privilege of instructing the individuals who will be the doctors, lawyers,
and teachers of tomorrow. As a teacher, I hope to instill a love of learning in my students that will, in
turn, motivate them to study not only the basic things I have taught them to be important, but also
the things they, as...show more content...
I hope to stimulate my students' minds so that they will be competent individuals ready to face
whatever they may encounter during their life. In order to do this, I feel that students should be
taught basic skills, but should also be strongly encouraged to explore and learn the things that
interest them.
I believe that young students come to school already having a broad base of general knowledge
that they have learned in their home. However, I also believe that, by nature, they have a clean
academic slate and are eager to absorb as much information as can be presented to them in a single
day! It seems that they are eager to learn, and become frustrated easily if they do not understand
concepts. Unfortunately, as they grow older, some become indifferent about learning, and the
teacher's job is balanced between motivating them to learn and actually teaching them the things they
need to learn. Since I plan on teaching at the secondary level, I hope to not enter the classroom being
naГЇve about the nature of students at this particular level. I am aware that many students at the
secondary level do not give nearly enough attention to their schoolwork. For that reason, I am
considering, even now, ways in which I can stimulate my students to want to learn. I plan to use two
educational philosophies to accomplish my goals.

This I Believe: My Pursuit Of Purpose
"This I Believe"
What I believe in is purpose. I believe everyone and everything has a purpose on this earth.
Whether it be humans, or animals or anything in between. Everyone walks this earth every single
day, they all do normal daily functions, and half of the people in this world don't actually put their
all into their life. Who knows, that woman on the street could be the next president, or the child on
the street could be the person to cure cancer. Everyone was put on this earth for a purpose and not
just made to walk around the world, unknown or living a normal daily life just because they feel
like they are not worth something. I believe everyone is worth something, that everyone has a
purpose and will reach that purpose at some point in their lives and will accomplish great things.
A lot of people walk this earth questioning why they are even still here today, why they were put
on this earth and if there is even a purpose to keep walking on it. Everyone was put on this earth
for a reason, whether it be going over the top and curing cancer or simply just creating a family.
Creating a family put our next generation on this earth; it keeps our human race going and gives our
future hope. You don't have to be put on this world to make a great change, but simply walking on
this planet and doing everything you're supposed to do is...show more content...

depressed and believe that you have nothing to live for, but you don't always have to live for you.
You should live for the people before you, or the future children you're going to make in your
future life. If you take your life away from this world, you take away your future generations, which
is very important for life to keep going for its daily life

My Beliefs On Teaching And Learning
My beliefs have influenced my ideologies on teaching and learning positively. I have always been
encouraged by my family and community to attend school and do my best to learn new material.
Though, I do believe that if I were to encounter someone who believed that teaching and learning
were not as important then this would hinder my view on education because I was always taught the
opposite.
I believe that a respectable teacher relates to their student and embraces their student's diverse
cultural backgrounds and become culturally responsive. It is important to learn about each student's
culture and how it affects their learning, self–esteem, and perceptions. With this newfound
knowledge, you can incorporate it into your teaching to increase the student's participation and
engagement. This will create a better student–teacher relationship when they know you care and are
interested in their life.
I personally do not believe we as teachers have the responsibility to change our student's beliefs,
however we have the responsibility of teaching our students about diversity and other cultures.
Teachers need to be aware and accepting of other cultures to successfully teach our students from
different backgrounds.
I have had both positive and negative experiences during my educational journey. I believe that
learning is a huge component to life because we learn new things daily. Learning allows us to grow
as a person, develop knowledge and improve yourself. I also believe that

Why Do I Believe Yourself Essay
"If you believe yourself, You can make difference, Then your family and your community, Defiantly
you also will win." Believe in yourself is one of the biggest thing which will give us success. I have
noticed one biggest difference in between successful and unsuccessful people, why successful people
got success and why other did not get the success. Although successful people will not have
resources, opportunity, intelligence but they believe them self so they will have so much of energy
and positive thinking for work and with this power they will be able to make their goals happen. So

Life is all about change. It's pretty obvious to most of us that the corollary states that if you stop
changing, you are dead. Having said that it makes the job of describing my beliefs difficult. After
all, in a year I may see things very differently. When I look back at the things I have believed it is
clear that many have withered away, seemingly to make room for the growth of new ideas.
Perhaps this should discourage me from trying to form a personal philosophy but I can't be
convinced that the alternative is very attractive. How could I face each day without knowing what I
value and what I repudiate, both within myself and in the world at large.
Can you see, as I do, that one of the most permanent beliefs we should all share...show more

It's just a pity it sounds so serious.
Take a look at the people that you admire. Isn't it true to say that they clearly understand who they
are and what they stand for? Success doesn't always equate to admiration, at least in my
experience. I take great delight in a friend from my university days whose only notable
achievement is to have a loving marriage and be raising three wonderful children. A past workmate
of mine who was very successful and set to become even more so, made my list when she decided
her job didn't match her soul and left to become a Nun. There are heroes all around us, so be on the
lookout.
As the child of a loving and secure family environment, the only danger I faced was the risk of
growing into a bland adult. I've got nothing against mashed potato but if given the choice I will opt
for Cajun style crawdads every time. Just as a good chef knows it is the unique favours that define a
dish, it is equally true that we should cultivate the special attributes that define ourselves.
At this point a canny reader may be thinking that I am advocating a culture of freaks; far from it.
What could be more frustrating than watching a profound idea watered down and clouded by a
mob of people who chase the image by affecting its surface traits. Let's break it down further.
Finding the core of who you are and encouraging it to blossom is not the same as dyeing your hair

I Believe In This Essay
Rather than beginning with a typical "I believe in this...'' statement, I'm choosing to start my
essay out a bit differently, some might even use the word unconventionally which is coincidently
a word that's going to show back up later, but I digress. I want to ask you, the reader, a
question.Have you ever been told you can't do something? Has someone ever told you that your
goal or aspirations aren't realistic? Perhaps they've even went as far as telling you that your
desires are impossible. Well ifanyone has ever in your life told you that or anything similar to
that, know you are not alone because I too have been told on multiple occasions the exact same
things. The only difference between how I chose to address it and how the majority of people in
our society chose to address it is best described through my belief and that belief goes a little

mentioned I have a very similar situation in which my career goal is deemed by the majority of
society as"unconventionaf' meaning not based on or conforming to what is generally done or
believed. But that being said I do not let that get me down. I refuse to let society conform me to
becoming someone Pm not and living a life that society sees fit but I see as miserable. Some
individuals just can't become lawyers or doctors or things of that nature because that simply is not

I Believe In Hope
This I believe. Hope can bring people together, and hope can tear people apart. Most importantly
hope gives us a reason to go on. Recently, my grandpa went through a sickness called encephalitis.
He was supposed to die, and everyone knew it. The doctors gave him a few weeks to live at most,
and we prepared for it. But in the back of all of our minds was that little voice saying "What if?'.
What If he does make it? It's possible, isn't it? But none of us wanted to be disappointed, so for
the most part, it stayed in the back of our minds. So when he made a recovery that not even the
doctors saw coming, that voice in the back of my head was now saying to me "I told you so!". I
believe in hope. Hope is what kept us going, kept us praying and believing, that something good will
happen. Something that just might give us a reason to keep pushing on through life. In this instance,
hope brought my family together, and gave us all something in common so that we could believe,
and not give up. I believe in hope. In reality, nobody ever wants to give up on anything. The only
things that...show more content...
Without it, life would simply be a grind. An endless struggle with nothing to work for, to look
forward to. My life has been changed because of hope, and I believe many other peoples have.
Everyone has it, we're all striving for the same thing, the hope that we believe in. The dictionary
definition for hope is "a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen." Or "a
feeling of trust." A feeling of trust. Something that builds us, and who we are, Is trust. It tells us
who we associate with, who we talk to, what groups we belong to, and most importantly, what we
choose to believe. Hope shapes our lives without us even knowing it. Our definition of hope
explains who we are, and what we will become. We need it to survive, thrive, and shape our lives to
become the people that we want to be, and change the world around us. And that is why I believe in

Personal Narrative: This I Believe Essay
This I Believe Essay A saying i've kept to myself is to get back up when knocked down. This
saying doesn't just stand for getting up when literally knocked down but can keep a deeper
meaning than what it says as for example being knocked down by a difficult obstacle to
overcome and getting up to find a way to get past it and achieving it. Some people may not see
this as something important but they don't think about how getting up after knocked down can be
something that can or would have been like a positive outcome into their life and how they are
given two choices when knocked down which is to stay down or get back up and continue going
forward. I can remember that freshman year of highschool I wanted to play football. If only I knew

with playing football. I'm glad I made that decision because I had fun during the season blowing
out other schools, there were losses along the way but it didn't matter because memories were
made out of one little decision which was get up and continue hitting practice or stand down
you're not cut out for this. This right here is a prime example of how making one decision to get
back up after being knocked down can affect the way you are for the rest of life. I could've just

Speech On Optimism
Jon Jusufi 8th grade
Sir Winston Churchill once said: " A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist
sees the opportunity in every difficulty."
If I think I cannot do something, after a while I will not be capable of doing it. And vice versa if I
truly believe that I can do something, I will try my best to do it. And this is not only about
actions we are capable of doing or not. Most importantly, it is about what we think we are. If you are
an optimist you love your life and think of yourself and the others around you as great people. If you
are a pessimist you do not really care about who you are and you do not give your life a meaning.
Optimism makes us have dreams. Those dreams eventually turn into goals and to accomplish those
goals we get perseverant, we care about the people around us and we try to live a healthy live.
Optimism leads to perseverance. If we really believe that what we think is right, optimism us

It is in human nature to work and live together with other people and to give a part of ourselves to
the others around us. Optimism is very important here because an optimist tries to make the
world a better place by making the people better people. Optimists help everyone in their
community as much as they can in every possible way. Sometimes people just need to hear some
good words and that is what optimists are great at. You have probably heard the story about the
one bad apple that turned all the good apples bad. Optimism is the exact opposite because one
optimist has the power to make all the people around him or her to see life from a positive point of
view. This is one of my favorite things about optimism because optimists do not only help
themselves, they help the world. And by helping the world they help themselves because the people
that you once helped will help you achieve your

What Do I Believe?
What do I believe in? If you are asking me this in a spiritual sense, I can say honestly that I have
no idea. Sometimes I think there might be some sort of force or spirits, watching over us. Other
times I don't believe in anything at all. Now, if you are asking me this in a general sense, I can say
that I believe in truthfulness and friendship. I believe in the importance of fairness, of family, of
happiness, and of community. I believe that everyone can succeed but must fail at least once to do
so; and that everyone has the ability to understand another even if they do not agree with his or her
own beliefs.
My beliefs and values stem from too many places to name. Every experience I have, every moment
that I am alive, pushes me towards or away from a belief. Every decision my parents make
influences my beliefs and values. Every value and belief I learn at school and in my faith
community at church allows me to consider whether the decisions I have made in the past are right.
The lesson I learn there also influence how I make decisions in the future.
I believed that everyone should be as truthful as possible without hurting the ones they love. People
should be open to any values or beliefs that someone has even if they don't agree. Everyone should
try their best not to say a mean word and no one should be left out.
There are also decisions I make based not on specific laws I have for myself but based on judgment
and what I think is the right move for the situation.

A valuable lesson I have been taught is anyone can overcome anything as long as they have
confidence, and determination. Someone special to me said if I put in hardwork and believed in
myself then I can excel in anything I do. This phrase gets me through each day. The reason I
believe strongly in this is because I have overcome many challenges because of these inspiring
words.
One example of me overcoming a challenge because of these inspiring words is me passing the
reading and writing FSA requirement. The FSA is a state test thathigh school students have to pass
in order to graduate. The first time time you take this test is at the end of tenth grade year. It takes
a few months to get results back after taking the test. I received my test results the beggining of
my junior year and I missed it by a few points. I retook this state test another time again failing but
progressing from the time before. I took the test a third time and missed the passing score by one
point, which my teacher informed me is less than half a question. That day many thoughts
flooded through my head, would i graduate? Am I smart enough to attend college? Can I get a
good job? I came home that day and told my mom I may not graduate. My mom responded to me
saying nothing comes easy and you must believe in yourself that is the key to success. Taking my
mom's advice I began to focus on perfecting my writing. I would look at FSA perfect scored essay to

Everyone desires to live a good life and people are always searching for ways to do so. In my
case, by moving to the United States, I now have the opportunity to live a good life, but my
definition differs from everyone else's. I believe that living a good life means getting a good
education, working hard, family support, willing to adapt new environment, having a leader, and
becoming a self–made individual.
My family and I moved from Pakistan eleven years ago in search of a better life. Their main purpose
in moving here in the U. S. was to send me to an American college to gain a first–class education.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, Americans follow the proverb 'time is money.' Everyone
works hard and people are motivated to achieve their goals. Although, in every country the rich
are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. It is possible to change that by working hard.
One can live a good life if he or she works hard. A good example to support this is Benjamin
Franklin. He was a great citizen of America and worked hard in order to live up to his definition
of a good life. His father was a candle maker and Franklin was not satisfied with it, then he
decided to work in the printing press. He made his trip to England, and while he was there, he
found a job in the printing industry so he decided to stay there. He stayed in England more than
five years and developed very good relations with Englishmen. Franklin was also sent to France to
negotiate a treaty of commerce and stayed there nine years. He became a hero to the French. He
was a scientist, inventor, philosopher, musician, and economist. He has proven this ideal to be
true, people do not inherit their social status; they attain it. Many of us are inspired by his great
work and want to follow his footsteps. I follow his philosophy of living a good life, by becoming a
self–made man. He worked hard throughout his life in order to succeed. I really admire his work and
I will become a self–made person just like him. Ever since I came

I Believe In Education Essay
My passion is to not only teach students in a creative and positive way that they are actually
learning but also to inspire them to learn and make something great of themselves in their future.
The reason being when I was younger I did not take my education that serious. If I would have
known then how serious an education was, I feel that I could have accomplished more in middle and
high school. After school I wouldn't care about actually learning about my homework. For this
reason I want to inspire kids to want to learn at a young age and for them to see that their education
and work ethic is very important even at their age. Most importantly I want my future students to
want to learn. After school programs would be an immense way to help students with their
homework and have fun activities. Teachers from the school volunteer to stay after school and host
the after school program. This would be a signifiant way to insure that students are getting their
homework done and learning from their homework. Studies have shown that after school programs
are a great way to enrich learning from homework and keep students supervised after school hours.

What I Believe In Analysis
A life that is only full of lies is not your life at all, thus I would rather die for what I believe in.
What is the point if your life is just one big lie? Rather than living a life like that, dying for what I

In my opinion, it is not worth living a life like that. I would speak of what I believe in out loud
where everyone can hear it, and I will do so with pride. Absolutely nothing will change what I
believe in and nothing will break and shatter me than living a life that is just bursting with lies. If
such a thing were to happen, my pride would be wounded and there would be no fixing the
unfixable. I would kill myself first before those hateful people lay a hand on me. I believe in what I
believe in, there is nothing that would ever change that, and I rather keep it that way. Dying is a
small price to pay if I shall keep my beliefs and pride. What we believe in makes us who we are, and
just because we do not all share the same beliefs, does not mean that God will punish us and send us
to Hell. Living a life of lies is worse than dying for what I believe in, mainly because you are just
lying to yourself about who you really are. Every lie that you tell to save yourself will only cause
you to lose the sense of who you really are and stains your soul every time. If I die for what I truly
believe in, then I would be much happier than lying to everyone and even

What Does I Believe Mean
I believe in love, justice, friendship, and God. In fact, I am aware that I am not the only one who
"believes in" things, ideas, perspectives, etc. such as my own beliefs. People have all kinds of
beliefs today. In a class such as Humanities 450 where students, including myself, study world
religions and cultural beliefs, especially in southern Louisiana, I hear the term believe used very
often. However, what does the word believe mean or imply, or what do most individuals mean
when they say the phrase "I believe ... "? Like one individual states, "Beliefs are the core of who

and emotional, ... [something that] dictate[s] ... action, ... [and what] drive[s...show more content...
One example is the connection between the use and meaning of "believe" in the Bible and the use
and meaning of it in earlier times. In fact, I think the original meaning of the word believe makes
more sense and has more depth to it. Reading about this in Karen Armstrong's book actually made
me think of how it might be to study words and their meanings like "believe" and "belief". I always
knew that the word believe had a deeper implication than just agreeing to something. More
importantly, studying some on the etymology and evolution of "believe" has allowed me to
understand scholars and theologians better. A few years ago, I heard a statement that relates to
the original intention of the word believe. From a response online, it stated that "... [An
individual] do[es] what [one] ... believe[s,] and ... [an individual] believe[s] what ... [one] do[es]"
("You Do What You ..."). This statement shows how strong the meaning of the word believe is
and the whole purpose of believing anything. Not only that but it also resonates with the original
meaning of "believe," explaining that whatever a person believes, that is what the persons acts on
or is shaped by. Overall, I do not "believe" that the word believe has lost its intended meaning. In
fact, many of us have probably heard it used in

homework without listening to music otherwise I begin to procastinate. "A Stanford study shows
that music engages areas of the brain which are involved with paying attention, making predictions

This I Believe Essay Topic Ideas

  • 1. Idealism: Personal Philosophy Essay examples My Personal Philosophy There are many philosophies and beliefs that can be acknowledged and discussed in this world. Some made up and some that are supported by straight on evidence. Some most would disagree with and others most would agree with. One thing I strongly believe is that there is no right or wrong belief or philosophy, as long as you have reason to what you are speaking of. You believe what you want to believe. Everyone thinks differently. The main three topics I will share my beliefs about are reality, society and fate. I believe in idealism, that reality is a creation of minds. Reality is within your mind. It is what you see and how you feel. Thoughts are so powerful and real, they determine your actions which determine...show more content... I agree with this completely due to personal experiences that have made me view reality nowadays way more differently than I did before. Society is the way it is today because we citizens, as society, have made it this way. Society is drunk off freedom and believes everything should be handed to them with no questions asked. Nobody wants to earn anything anymore. Society is too concerned with who's running in first place on American Idol rather than who's running the country. We have made certain things, such as expensive clothes and fit, skinny bodies, be glamorized for so long that it is considered as the better way of living in today's society. I disagree with materialistic viewpoints. I don't think having lots of money and clothes and objects make you rich. I believe being rich means that you appreciate everything you have. The "good life" is a life you are proud to talk about, a life that makes you happy. You create your own Utopia. I absolutely agree with this quote by German philosopher, Friedrich Nietzsche, as he writes, "You have your way. I have my way. As for the right way, the correct way, and the only way, it does not exist." This is true because there is no right or wrong way to live, whatever makes you happy, do it. You should never punish someone for living how they want to live. Of course this is to an extent because there are laws made up for the protection of citizens, but so what. • 2. Essay What I Believe I believe in logic. I believe in reason. Specifically, I apply this logic to a major choice in my life, that of religion. When someone asks you what your beliefs are, what's the first thing you think of? For most people, religious orientation is the first thing that comes to mind. I have to say, this is the first thing that came to my mind, although it was not a specific religion that came to mind for myself, but rather, the complete lack of one. I am what one would consider atheistic; that is, I hold no beliefs in any particular god, and I do not identify with any religious association. I am not simply a non–practicing believer, as many people choose to proclaim when they fail to attend church regularly. I have completely distanced myself...show more content... Atheism has developed a skewed public perception over the years. Many believe that atheism is the complete lack of a moral code. I find this concept laughable at best. Instead, I would argue that a theist that does not perform an amoral action because they fear divine retribution is less moral than an atheist that chooses not to perform an amoral action simply on the basis that it is an amoral thing to do. I personally find my moral code to be on par with many of my theistic peers, even though I developed my morals in absence of any religious input. It is my belief that atheism rather than theism should be the default creed one should obtain before any religion is considered. I find it odd that the majority of otherwise logical people choose to blindly follow that which has been placed before them in ancient texts and soapbox speeches. Many ask me: "Why? Why set this as your default?" My only answer is that we cannot follow blindly the fables of another. We must determine our own paths through what we know to be true. Basic truths can be discovered through our own experimentation. For example, I discovered gravity at a young age while struggling and failing with the concept of walking. The concept of gravity is an unchanging truth for me, one that I determined on my own. We can use these fundamental rules of knowledge to create more complex guidelines as to how the universe operates. Through this process I have come discover many things that I hold true about this Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. This I Believe Analysis In my "This I Believe" essay about stress I tried to use a combination of ethos and pathos as a way to appeal to my audience which happens to be college students Regarding ethos I used this rhetoric because anyone with morals will feel some sort of sympathy for someone who feeling is stressed or depressed therefore evoking emotion out of the audience. Not only that but I tried to promote positivity within my essay because only talking about the negative effects of stress would be counterproductive to the essay itself since it isn't supposed to be preachy or negative so therefore I tried to incorporate some things that my audience could use to overcome stress such as going to counselors, friends, families, and their fraternity or sorority by Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. I Believe Essay I Believe I believe that education is the basic foundation of any society, and that the way in which a student is motivated during their education will inevitably determine their degree of success or failure in the future. Only after my graduation from high school and my entrance into college did I realize how significant the role of a teacher really is in relation to the shaping of a society. In their classrooms, they have the privilege of instructing the individuals who will be the doctors, lawyers, and teachers of tomorrow. As a teacher, I hope to instill a love of learning in my students that will, in turn, motivate them to study not only the basic things I have taught them to be important, but also the things they, as...show more content... I hope to stimulate my students' minds so that they will be competent individuals ready to face whatever they may encounter during their life. In order to do this, I feel that students should be taught basic skills, but should also be strongly encouraged to explore and learn the things that interest them. I believe that young students come to school already having a broad base of general knowledge that they have learned in their home. However, I also believe that, by nature, they have a clean academic slate and are eager to absorb as much information as can be presented to them in a single day! It seems that they are eager to learn, and become frustrated easily if they do not understand concepts. Unfortunately, as they grow older, some become indifferent about learning, and the teacher's job is balanced between motivating them to learn and actually teaching them the things they need to learn. Since I plan on teaching at the secondary level, I hope to not enter the classroom being naГЇve about the nature of students at this particular level. I am aware that many students at the secondary level do not give nearly enough attention to their schoolwork. For that reason, I am considering, even now, ways in which I can stimulate my students to want to learn. I plan to use two educational philosophies to accomplish my goals. Perennialism urges that Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. This I Believe: My Pursuit Of Purpose "This I Believe" What I believe in is purpose. I believe everyone and everything has a purpose on this earth. Whether it be humans, or animals or anything in between. Everyone walks this earth every single day, they all do normal daily functions, and half of the people in this world don't actually put their all into their life. Who knows, that woman on the street could be the next president, or the child on the street could be the person to cure cancer. Everyone was put on this earth for a purpose and not just made to walk around the world, unknown or living a normal daily life just because they feel like they are not worth something. I believe everyone is worth something, that everyone has a purpose and will reach that purpose at some point in their lives and will accomplish great things. A lot of people walk this earth questioning why they are even still here today, why they were put on this earth and if there is even a purpose to keep walking on it. Everyone was put on this earth for a reason, whether it be going over the top and curing cancer or simply just creating a family. Creating a family put our next generation on this earth; it keeps our human race going and gives our future hope. You don't have to be put on this world to make a great change, but simply walking on this planet and doing everything you're supposed to do is...show more content... They ended up saving people, or creating another life for generations to go on. You can be depressed and believe that you have nothing to live for, but you don't always have to live for you. You should live for the people before you, or the future children you're going to make in your future life. If you take your life away from this world, you take away your future generations, which is very important for life to keep going for its daily life Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. My Beliefs On Teaching And Learning My beliefs have influenced my ideologies on teaching and learning positively. I have always been encouraged by my family and community to attend school and do my best to learn new material. Though, I do believe that if I were to encounter someone who believed that teaching and learning were not as important then this would hinder my view on education because I was always taught the opposite. I believe that a respectable teacher relates to their student and embraces their student's diverse cultural backgrounds and become culturally responsive. It is important to learn about each student's culture and how it affects their learning, self–esteem, and perceptions. With this newfound knowledge, you can incorporate it into your teaching to increase the student's participation and engagement. This will create a better student–teacher relationship when they know you care and are interested in their life. I personally do not believe we as teachers have the responsibility to change our student's beliefs, however we have the responsibility of teaching our students about diversity and other cultures. Teachers need to be aware and accepting of other cultures to successfully teach our students from different backgrounds. I have had both positive and negative experiences during my educational journey. I believe that learning is a huge component to life because we learn new things daily. Learning allows us to grow as a person, develop knowledge and improve yourself. I also believe that Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Why Do I Believe Yourself Essay "If you believe yourself, You can make difference, Then your family and your community, Defiantly you also will win." Believe in yourself is one of the biggest thing which will give us success. I have noticed one biggest difference in between successful and unsuccessful people, why successful people got success and why other did not get the success. Although successful people will not have resources, opportunity, intelligence but they believe them self so they will have so much of energy and positive thinking for work and with this power they will be able to make their goals happen. So believe yourself– that make all the difference....show more content... But lack of confidence and if you are not believing yourself, their person will become unsuccessful there is no matter how great the ideas and how big opportunity are that are exposed to you. Whoever has the less confidence and not believing himself he will think this won't succeed with me, instead of doing this you should ask yourself why this idea not working and figure it out a way to make something good result. And always believe yourself that make some difference in Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. This I Believe Essay Life is all about change. It's pretty obvious to most of us that the corollary states that if you stop changing, you are dead. Having said that it makes the job of describing my beliefs difficult. After all, in a year I may see things very differently. When I look back at the things I have believed it is clear that many have withered away, seemingly to make room for the growth of new ideas. Perhaps this should discourage me from trying to form a personal philosophy but I can't be convinced that the alternative is very attractive. How could I face each day without knowing what I value and what I repudiate, both within myself and in the world at large. Can you see, as I do, that one of the most permanent beliefs we should all share...show more content... It's just a pity it sounds so serious. Take a look at the people that you admire. Isn't it true to say that they clearly understand who they are and what they stand for? Success doesn't always equate to admiration, at least in my experience. I take great delight in a friend from my university days whose only notable achievement is to have a loving marriage and be raising three wonderful children. A past workmate of mine who was very successful and set to become even more so, made my list when she decided her job didn't match her soul and left to become a Nun. There are heroes all around us, so be on the lookout. As the child of a loving and secure family environment, the only danger I faced was the risk of growing into a bland adult. I've got nothing against mashed potato but if given the choice I will opt for Cajun style crawdads every time. Just as a good chef knows it is the unique favours that define a dish, it is equally true that we should cultivate the special attributes that define ourselves. At this point a canny reader may be thinking that I am advocating a culture of freaks; far from it. What could be more frustrating than watching a profound idea watered down and clouded by a mob of people who chase the image by affecting its surface traits. Let's break it down further. Finding the core of who you are and encouraging it to blossom is not the same as dyeing your hair Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. I Believe In This Essay Rather than beginning with a typical "I believe in this...'' statement, I'm choosing to start my essay out a bit differently, some might even use the word unconventionally which is coincidently a word that's going to show back up later, but I digress. I want to ask you, the reader, a question.Have you ever been told you can't do something? Has someone ever told you that your goal or aspirations aren't realistic? Perhaps they've even went as far as telling you that your desires are impossible. Well ifanyone has ever in your life told you that or anything similar to that, know you are not alone because I too have been told on multiple occasions the exact same things. The only difference between how I chose to address it and how the majority of people in our society chose to address it is best described through my belief and that belief goes a little something like this... I believe that doing what you love is more important than...show more content... Don't let anyone stop you or put you down. If societies standard is career related, which happens to be my situation, don't let the norms of society stop you from doing what you love. Keep chasing your career goal(s) and do not stop until you make it. It is possible, believe me. As I mentioned I have a very similar situation in which my career goal is deemed by the majority of society as"unconventionaf' meaning not based on or conforming to what is generally done or believed. But that being said I do not let that get me down. I refuse to let society conform me to becoming someone Pm not and living a life that society sees fit but I see as miserable. Some individuals just can't become lawyers or doctors or things of that nature because that simply is not them. These people are your more creative individuals, they yearn to do the things that are risky and sometimes even a bit "out–there" but for them, if they Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. I Believe In Hope This I believe. Hope can bring people together, and hope can tear people apart. Most importantly hope gives us a reason to go on. Recently, my grandpa went through a sickness called encephalitis. He was supposed to die, and everyone knew it. The doctors gave him a few weeks to live at most, and we prepared for it. But in the back of all of our minds was that little voice saying "What if?'. What If he does make it? It's possible, isn't it? But none of us wanted to be disappointed, so for the most part, it stayed in the back of our minds. So when he made a recovery that not even the doctors saw coming, that voice in the back of my head was now saying to me "I told you so!". I believe in hope. Hope is what kept us going, kept us praying and believing, that something good will happen. Something that just might give us a reason to keep pushing on through life. In this instance, hope brought my family together, and gave us all something in common so that we could believe, and not give up. I believe in hope. In reality, nobody ever wants to give up on anything. The only things that...show more content... Without it, life would simply be a grind. An endless struggle with nothing to work for, to look forward to. My life has been changed because of hope, and I believe many other peoples have. Everyone has it, we're all striving for the same thing, the hope that we believe in. The dictionary definition for hope is "a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen." Or "a feeling of trust." A feeling of trust. Something that builds us, and who we are, Is trust. It tells us who we associate with, who we talk to, what groups we belong to, and most importantly, what we choose to believe. Hope shapes our lives without us even knowing it. Our definition of hope explains who we are, and what we will become. We need it to survive, thrive, and shape our lives to become the people that we want to be, and change the world around us. And that is why I believe in Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. Personal Narrative: This I Believe Essay This I Believe Essay A saying i've kept to myself is to get back up when knocked down. This saying doesn't just stand for getting up when literally knocked down but can keep a deeper meaning than what it says as for example being knocked down by a difficult obstacle to overcome and getting up to find a way to get past it and achieving it. Some people may not see this as something important but they don't think about how getting up after knocked down can be something that can or would have been like a positive outcome into their life and how they are given two choices when knocked down which is to stay down or get back up and continue going forward. I can remember that freshman year of highschool I wanted to play football. If only I knew the...show more content... I had left to my room to think about what he had told me and I just remembered how while still in middle school I was talking about being a football player all 4 years and try to get scouted by college senior year. I went back to his room and told him my decision which was to continue on with playing football. I'm glad I made that decision because I had fun during the season blowing out other schools, there were losses along the way but it didn't matter because memories were made out of one little decision which was get up and continue hitting practice or stand down you're not cut out for this. This right here is a prime example of how making one decision to get back up after being knocked down can affect the way you are for the rest of life. I could've just been like I don't care this is way to hard i don't like doing any of this but I thought of all the positive like my dad had told me and what did it do to me; it made an athlete, it helped me get back into shape, it had made it possible for memories to be made with friends that are family the people who I play with for the remaining years of high school. Nothing that has happened to me has made Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. Speech On Optimism Jon Jusufi 8th grade Sir Winston Churchill once said: " A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty." If I think I cannot do something, after a while I will not be capable of doing it. And vice versa if I truly believe that I can do something, I will try my best to do it. And this is not only about actions we are capable of doing or not. Most importantly, it is about what we think we are. If you are an optimist you love your life and think of yourself and the others around you as great people. If you are a pessimist you do not really care about who you are and you do not give your life a meaning. Optimism makes us have dreams. Those dreams eventually turn into goals and to accomplish those goals we get perseverant, we care about the people around us and we try to live a healthy live. Optimism leads to perseverance. If we really believe that what we think is right, optimism us protect it with all we have because we are what we...show more content... It is in human nature to work and live together with other people and to give a part of ourselves to the others around us. Optimism is very important here because an optimist tries to make the world a better place by making the people better people. Optimists help everyone in their community as much as they can in every possible way. Sometimes people just need to hear some good words and that is what optimists are great at. You have probably heard the story about the one bad apple that turned all the good apples bad. Optimism is the exact opposite because one optimist has the power to make all the people around him or her to see life from a positive point of view. This is one of my favorite things about optimism because optimists do not only help themselves, they help the world. • 13. What Do I Believe? What do I believe in? If you are asking me this in a spiritual sense, I can say honestly that I have no idea. Sometimes I think there might be some sort of force or spirits, watching over us. Other times I don't believe in anything at all. Now, if you are asking me this in a general sense, I can say that I believe in truthfulness and friendship. I believe in the importance of fairness, of family, of happiness, and of community. I believe that everyone can succeed but must fail at least once to do so; and that everyone has the ability to understand another even if they do not agree with his or her own beliefs. My beliefs and values stem from too many places to name. Every experience I have, every moment that I am alive, pushes me towards or away from a belief. Every decision my parents make influences my beliefs and values. Every value and belief I learn at school and in my faith community at church allows me to consider whether the decisions I have made in the past are right. The lesson I learn there also influence how I make decisions in the future. I believed that everyone should be as truthful as possible without hurting the ones they love. People should be open to any values or beliefs that someone has even if they don't agree. Everyone should try their best not to say a mean word and no one should be left out. There are also decisions I make based not on specific laws I have for myself but based on judgment and what I think is the right move for the situation. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. Persuasive Essay : This I Believe This I Believe Essay A valuable lesson I have been taught is anyone can overcome anything as long as they have confidence, and determination. Someone special to me said if I put in hardwork and believed in myself then I can excel in anything I do. This phrase gets me through each day. The reason I believe strongly in this is because I have overcome many challenges because of these inspiring words. One example of me overcoming a challenge because of these inspiring words is me passing the reading and writing FSA requirement. The FSA is a state test thathigh school students have to pass in order to graduate. The first time time you take this test is at the end of tenth grade year. It takes a few months to get results back after taking the test. I received my test results the beggining of my junior year and I missed it by a few points. I retook this state test another time again failing but progressing from the time before. I took the test a third time and missed the passing score by one point, which my teacher informed me is less than half a question. That day many thoughts flooded through my head, would i graduate? Am I smart enough to attend college? Can I get a good job? I came home that day and told my mom I may not graduate. My mom responded to me saying nothing comes easy and you must believe in yourself that is the key to success. Taking my mom's advice I began to focus on perfecting my writing. I would look at FSA perfect scored essay to see how the judges were Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. Everyone desires to live a good life and people are always searching for ways to do so. In my case, by moving to the United States, I now have the opportunity to live a good life, but my definition differs from everyone else's. I believe that living a good life means getting a good education, working hard, family support, willing to adapt new environment, having a leader, and becoming a self–made individual. My family and I moved from Pakistan eleven years ago in search of a better life. Their main purpose in moving here in the U. S. was to send me to an American college to gain a first–class education. My father ran a convenient store and a medical store for over 20 years. I remember that he used to walk to his shop to work...show more content... On the opposite end of the spectrum, Americans follow the proverb 'time is money.' Everyone works hard and people are motivated to achieve their goals. Although, in every country the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. It is possible to change that by working hard. One can live a good life if he or she works hard. A good example to support this is Benjamin Franklin. He was a great citizen of America and worked hard in order to live up to his definition of a good life. His father was a candle maker and Franklin was not satisfied with it, then he decided to work in the printing press. He made his trip to England, and while he was there, he found a job in the printing industry so he decided to stay there. He stayed in England more than five years and developed very good relations with Englishmen. Franklin was also sent to France to negotiate a treaty of commerce and stayed there nine years. He became a hero to the French. He was a scientist, inventor, philosopher, musician, and economist. He has proven this ideal to be true, people do not inherit their social status; they attain it. Many of us are inspired by his great work and want to follow his footsteps. I follow his philosophy of living a good life, by becoming a self–made man. He worked hard throughout his life in order to succeed. I really admire his work and I will become a self–made person just like him. Ever since I came Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 16. I Believe In Luck The age old question,"Do you believe in luck", is asked over and over again throughout one's life. Oprah Winfrey once said, "Luck is a matter of preparation meeting opportunity". She's saying that luck only comes if you make it happen. One must be prepared, seek an favored occasion, and grasp at opportunities. Oprah believes that through these things, you will find your own luck. Oprah feels a person must make the things happen that they want by being prepared. I believe Oprah is right. One must always prepare themselves for the things they plan to achieve in life. For me, I have been preparing myself to become a teacher through classroom experience. Experience is key to being prepared. To be prepared one must also observe. • 17. I Believe In Education Essay My passion is to not only teach students in a creative and positive way that they are actually learning but also to inspire them to learn and make something great of themselves in their future. The reason being when I was younger I did not take my education that serious. If I would have known then how serious an education was, I feel that I could have accomplished more in middle and high school. After school I wouldn't care about actually learning about my homework. For this reason I want to inspire kids to want to learn at a young age and for them to see that their education and work ethic is very important even at their age. Most importantly I want my future students to want to learn. After school programs would be an immense way to help students with their homework and have fun activities. Teachers from the school volunteer to stay after school and host the after school program. This would be a signifiant way to insure that students are getting their homework done and learning from their homework. Studies have shown that after school programs are a great way to enrich learning from homework and keep students supervised after school hours. ...show more content... Creative teaching makes learning easier for students because it creates a possibility for students to be entertained instead of bored with the material that is being taught. One way to start the quest to being creative in the classroom would be think differently. Teachers need to think of new ways to teach their students. Think of new sources that make students explore, ponder, and contemplate. Providing a variety of options and resources is another way to keep students engaged and creative in the classroom. • 18. What I Believe In Analysis A life that is only full of lies is not your life at all, thus I would rather die for what I believe in. What is the point if your life is just one big lie? Rather than living a life like that, dying for what I believe in sounds something like I would do. I always stand up to what I believe in, and I do not like to back down. Plus, I do not pay any attention to what they say nor think about me, the world will not end if I believe in something entirely different from most people. If I like what I believe in, then that is all right. I am content if nobody accepts me just because of what I believe in is different from other people, so long as I have the little things in life that makes me truly happy, I would endure the isolation. So, if I have...show more content... In my opinion, it is not worth living a life like that. I would speak of what I believe in out loud where everyone can hear it, and I will do so with pride. Absolutely nothing will change what I believe in and nothing will break and shatter me than living a life that is just bursting with lies. If such a thing were to happen, my pride would be wounded and there would be no fixing the unfixable. I would kill myself first before those hateful people lay a hand on me. I believe in what I believe in, there is nothing that would ever change that, and I rather keep it that way. Dying is a small price to pay if I shall keep my beliefs and pride. What we believe in makes us who we are, and just because we do not all share the same beliefs, does not mean that God will punish us and send us to Hell. Living a life of lies is worse than dying for what I believe in, mainly because you are just lying to yourself about who you really are. Every lie that you tell to save yourself will only cause you to lose the sense of who you really are and stains your soul every time. If I die for what I truly believe in, then I would be much happier than lying to everyone and even Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. What Does I Believe Mean I believe in love, justice, friendship, and God. In fact, I am aware that I am not the only one who "believes in" things, ideas, perspectives, etc. such as my own beliefs. People have all kinds of beliefs today. In a class such as Humanities 450 where students, including myself, study world religions and cultural beliefs, especially in southern Louisiana, I hear the term believe used very often. However, what does the word believe mean or imply, or what do most individuals mean when they say the phrase "I believe ... "? Like one individual states, "Beliefs are the core of who [people] ... are, what ... [people] ... do, ... what [people] hold dear, ... [something that] is both mental and emotional, ... One example is the connection between the use and meaning of "believe" in the Bible and the use and meaning of it in earlier times. In fact, I think the original meaning of the word believe makes more sense and has more depth to it. Reading about this in Karen Armstrong's book actually made me think of how it might be to study words and their meanings like "believe" and "belief". I always knew that the word believe had a deeper implication than just agreeing to something. More importantly, studying some on the etymology and evolution of "believe" has allowed me to understand scholars and theologians better. A few years ago, I heard a statement that relates to the original intention of the word believe. From a response online, it stated that "... [An individual] do[es] what [one] ... believe[s,] and ... [an individual] believe[s] what ... [one] do[es]" ("You Do What You ..."). This statement shows how strong the meaning of the word believe is and the whole purpose of believing anything. Not only that but it also resonates with the original meaning of "believe," explaining that whatever a person believes, that is what the persons acts on or is shaped by. Overall, I do not "believe" that the word believe has lost its intended meaning. In fact, many of us have probably heard it used in Get more content on HelpWriting.net
