2. We have included 3 Billboard magazine front covers
because this is the type of magazine that we decided we
wanted to use. Although we have focused on Vibe
magazine that is because we really liked the layout of the
front page and found that their target audience was similar
to ours. We decided to incorporate Billboard magazine into
our work because they are a pop magazine which has a
mature look to their front cover. We like the colours they
use and the layout of their pages as they do not have much
clutter.

4. These 3 magazines are all very similar. The main image of the front cover
shows that they are wearing really glamorous clothes, and the poses that they
are doing they look sophisticated and glamorous. Moreover, because the
women that are on it all have a really well known reputation, their faces/heads
cover the masthead of the page. On the Rihanna magazine and the Beyoncé
magazine, there is a quote from each singer. This seems like a popular idea.
The names on the magazines are also really bold and stand out. The fonts they
have used compliment the over all style of the magazine along with the actual
singer. Each magazines stories are linked into other singers that are linked into
the industry. Taylor Swift is mentioned in the Katy Perry and Beyoncé magazine
and in the Rihanna one Pitbull is mentioned. Their names have been put in a
fairly bold which is important because it means that their fan base will see their
name and also be interested into reading the magazine to find out the stories
that are going on about them. The stories that have been included in all of
these magazines are more about the music in general, and it is not very gossip
hungry and about the celebrities personal lives. This is because it is aimed at a
mature audience and their target audience is not young people. Another thing
that supports their mature target audience is that the pages aren’t over
cluttered. There is space on the page and it is more of a clean and neat layout.
This is because adults will find a page that is overly cluttered and too childish.
