2. • Poseidon is the god of sea, earthquakes, and
horses.
• He drives a chariot, holds a trident, but often
changes shape.
3. • He is worshipped because of his navigation
and being a fertility god.
• His responsibility: control the sea, and cause
earthquakes.
4. • He is son of Cronus and Rhea.
• He is brother of five siblings.
• Poseidon’s wife is Amphirite, and had over 50
kids with other women.
5. • When Poseidon was born he was swallowed by Cronus,
but rescued by Zeus, or Rhea tricked Cronus, swallowing
a horse instead.
6. • Odysseus wins the war (help of Poseidon). Lack of
credit, Odysseus is punished.
• Poseidon, again, punishes Odysseus for blinding his
son, Polyphemus.
7. • Poseidon always keep his promises(moral/value
society holds today)
• Poseidon made rough seas; it is still issues we face
today.
