- The first step is to locate and examine where you (and maybe your competitors) are on this journey into the open hybrid cloud. Everyone has past decisions, legacy technologies, and political realities to deal with. Most digital leaders in our research have shared the fact that they are doing one or more of these 5 things right now; optimizing their existing IT investments, integrating apps, data, and processes, adding / managing cloud infra, trying to build moderen cloud apps, and / or automating and managing their IT landscapes.
- Gartner says it all, the large percentage of organizations will be adopting one or more hybird- or multiclouds. That’s something you can’t igore.

- There is no easier way to get started experiencing the joys and ease of cloud native development on OpenShift Container Platform. You can start at Red Hat Developers with 3 options; a templated application, an example application, or import your own (properly configured) project. We’ll dive into an example to show how this work in just 4 easy steps.
- You’re guided to setup an application name at the top, then pick one of the provided applications (here a SpringBoot application that provides front end page with a database backend supporting CRUD), then you link your github account to locate the project code and automatically set up hooks to push changes in rolling build, test, and deployments on OpenShift Container Platform that you point at in the final step. You can then use the launcher to set it all up for you, or you can download the code / configuration to take with you into your organization. It’s an amazing cloud native development experience.
