Notas del editor
Iskandar Malaysia has 5 flagship zones. Each of the five flagships has its own set of priorities and unique strategies to attract investments. These five flagships are key focus catalyst areas for the development of Iskandar Malaysia.Out of these 5 flagship zones, only zone B (Nusajaya) is a “green field” development while the remaining 4 are “brown field” areas. The focus on the development of the 5 flagship zones will create a “spill over” effect to the surrounding areas in Iskandar Malaysia.Natural ring road to link Singapore and Iskandar Malaysia. This map shows the excellent land, air and sea connectivity of our projects.Within an hour, there are two airports i.e. Senai and Changi, serving the area. There are four sea ports within 10 to 50 mins away. The development is also well-connected by land, with two bridges connecting Singapore.IM is not created to compete with Singapore, but to complement. Some 55% of tourist arrivals to M’sia, comes through Singapore.PSAPSA Singapore Terminals is the world's busiest transshipment hub, handling about one-fifth of the world's total container transshipment throughput. In 2008, PSA Singapore Terminals handled 29.0 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUS) of containersJurong PortThe Port handles containers and a variety of cargo including different types of bulk, break-bulk, palletized and project cargo.PTPPort of Tanjung Pelepas is Malaysia's largest container port. The port is now budgeting for a 9% growth to 6.1 million TEU for this year.PTLPort of Tanjung Langsat’s principal objective is to serve the 4,000 acres of adjacent industrial land. It is capable of handling vessels up to 5,000 DWT and 30,000 DWT.
The development strategy of Iskandar Malaysia begins with 3 critical foundations. The nation buildinggrowth and value creation Equitable & fair distribution among stakeholdersThese foundations forms the base for the 5 strategies with Socio Economic Equity being the central pillar. The 3 foundations and the 5 strategic pillars are designed to deliver the vision of becoming a strong sustainable metropolis of international standing.
