Ancient Egypt was a civilization that developed along the Nile River in northeast Africa around 3400 years ago. It consisted of two kingdoms, upper and lower Egypt, which were referred to as the "black earth." The Ancient Egyptians believed in many gods and that the Pharaoh was chosen by the gods. They would honor the gods through prayers and rituals conducted in temples that housed statues of the gods. Ancient Egyptian civilization lasted from around 3100 BC to 330 BC over a series of 30 dynasties, giving rise to the field of Egyptology.

Ancient Egypt was a civilization of northeastern
Africa. It was developed along the Nile river,
where modern Egypt is today. It is one of the six
civilizations that arised independently. Egyptian
civilization followed prehistoric Egypt and lasted
around 3400 years.
3. Geography
Ancient Egypt consisted of two kingdoms, the
upper and the lower Egypt. The area of the two
kingdoms was called ‘black earth’ according to
Herodotes.
4. Religion
In Ancient Egypt there where many gods. The
gods protected and helped the people who
honored them with prayers. The Ancient
Egyptians believe that the Pharaoh was sent by
gods. People weren’t going to the temples in
order to honor their gods. Usually in the middle
of the temple there where statues.
5. History
The history of Ancient Egypt is divided in 8 or 9
periods, named kingdoms. In the history of
Ancient Egypt there were 30 dynasts according
to a Egyptian priest named Manethon. It started
in 3100 B.C. and lasted until 330 A.C. This
duration is so long that a new science has been
developed, called “Egyptology.”
