3. How Fossil Fuels were made Millions of years ago, rain forests like these would be squished underground so much all the water would come out of them, making them into fossil fuels. oil coal
4. The Three Main Problems with Using Fossil Fuels There is only a certain amount of fossil fuels on Earth 1. Most of the remaining fossil fuels on the earth are outside of the USA 2. The fossil fuels burning hurts our environment 3.
5. A disadvantage of people using coal being used in power plants is that it causes a lot of pollution. Coal
6. Oil This is a picture of a machine drilling for oil. They use huge drills to drill down into the earth until they come to a chamber in the ground that is filled with oil. Then, using the hole they drilled, they pump the oil out of the ground. But what if all the oil gets used up? Will they just suck up dirt for energy?
7. Natural Gas Natural gas is transparent. When people transport Natural Gas to other countries or around a country, they usually transport it as LNG (liquefied natural gas).
8. Part 2: A No Fossil Fuels World A world without fossil fuels?
13. Left: solar panel Right: house with solar panels on the roof. Solar panels collect the suns heat, converts it into energy, and stores it for when energy in that house is needed. A disadvantage of these is that they work better on houses with roofs that face south, and a lot of houses in America are already made or being made rapidly without a lot of attention about witch direction the roofs are facing.. Solar Energy
14. Wind Energy This is a wind mill. It collects energy from the wind making the propellers rotate. A disadvantage of a wind mill would be that birds and other flying animals could run into these and either one could get wounded.
