New in IMSPA version 4 is combined Connect and IMS performance. Now you can see Connect and IMS event latencies in a single report to help you isolate bottlenecks. This report summarizes Connect transaction activity, braking down response time into its transit components from Connect into IMS via OTMA and back again, true end-to-end response time analysis.
Most comprehensive Problem tool on the market
Tracking allows you to connect log records associated with a particular transaction together. The transaction may span multiple log records and log record types. In this figure we can see an IMS Connect message triggering an IMS transaction that includes a DB2 update. The single logical view allows you to easily understand the flows of even complex transactions. Moreover, the elapsed time view, allows you to quickly highlight gaps in log recording, which often indicate where performance problems are likely to have occurred.
Log records can be selected to display, formatted according to their mapping DSECT, or with additional information only available to IMS Problem Investigator. Zoom to any field to get further information.
