The Revitalize, Restore, Replant! program is designed to transform existing stormwater facilities on FCPS property into teaching opportunities through student-led native plant installations. This program is led by ecologists within the Fairfax County Stormwater Planning Division. Plant species are chosen to complement existing SOL programs of study so once replanted, the facility can be used as a teaching tool for all grade levels. Some added benefits include, an outdoor classroom greenspace, enhancement of school ground aesthetics, and increased biodiversity.
