Description:
This project expanded the existing Stringfellow Road Park and Ride Facility located at 4920 Stringfellow Road, located just north of
Interstate 66. The expansion includes:
• Additional 322 parking spaces and covered and secure bicycle storage
• New entrance road to parking which separates bus and commuter traffic
• New 1400 sf Transit Building for ticket sales and information
• Public lobby with transaction windows
• Restrooms
• Vending area
• Office space
• Roof mounted photovoltaic panels producing supplemental electricity
• Three additional Bus Bays and Shelters
• New Shared Use Path along Stringfellow Road
• New access paths and handicap parking
• Extensive Low Impact Development Features
• Detention Ponds
• Bio Filters
• Porous Pavement
• Reforestation and plant meadows
Substantial Completion Date: May 11, 2016
Total Project Budget: $7.2 Million
