Barbeque, by Robert Earl Keen
Oooh when I was a little boy           Now there was once this girl I knew
Only one or two                        She treated me so mean
                                       I offered her my Barbeque
The first thing I did enjoy
                                       She licked my platter clean
Was a plate of Barbeque
                                       Don't give me no broccoli
Barbeque sliced beef and bread         Or any Swiss fondue
Ribs and sausage and a cold Big Red    Baby if you want to rock me
Barbeque makes old ones feel young     Give me good ole barbeque
Barbeque makes everybody someone       Don't send me to heaven
If you're feelin' puny and you don't   It ain't where I should go
know what to do                        Cause the Devil's got a charcoal pit
Treat yourself to some meat eat some   And a good fire down below

                                       Find a good place to eat
                                       Get some Barbeque
We often hear the expression, “You are what
you eat.” Well what did you eat for breakfast?




Protein, it’s what’s for breakfast. Or rather, it’s
what should be for breakfast. Why?
Protein is a diet pathway to alertness.
What foods are high in protein?
Protein contains significant amounts
of an amino acid (the building blocks
of protein) called tyrosine.
Tyrosine is an important ingredient
in the neurotransmitter dopamine.
Dopamine is associated with reward,
energy, alertness, and excitement.
Comfort foods may be consumed to
positively pique emotions, to relieve
negative psychological effects or to
increase positive feelings
Foods that have a high content of the
amino acid trytophan get used by the
body to make a neurotransmitter called
serotonin.
Serotonin is associated with comfort,
focus, being calm and relaxed.
Turkey is high in the amino acid tryptophan, so
many people have erroneously thought that is
why we get sleepy after eating Thanksgiving
dinner.
Turkey is also high in tyrosine. When both
amino acids are present the tyrosine producing
the dopamine overrides the tryptophan serotonin
production and alertness ensues.

Consider the carbs that they eat.
Also as large quantities of food are consumed
blood flow is directed to the digestive tract
causing us to feel sluggish and less awake.
Consider the environment as well, home with
family and friends.
