Prior to implementing FlexNet Licensing,
Sentinel was using its own home-grown
licensing and entitlement management
solution. With a staff of highly-skilled
developers, it seemed feasible to create
and maintain a solution.
But Sentinel IC’s home-grown solution had
several shortcomings. While it performed
its limited host ID-based controls well, it
didn’t provide FlexNet Licensing’s flexibility
and sophistication—especially when it
came to virtualization. Sentinel IC also

FlexNet Licensing provided exactly what
Sentinel IC needed functionally. “Flexera

be much more nimble and effective at
customer acquisition.”
Juan adds that the flexibility with which
