WHY ICT INTEGRATION?
Digital tools enable teachers to
●   Invite external experts
●   Consult vast repositories of information
●   Document classes both for review and to help
    absentees
●   Provide an authentic audience for student work
●   Reflect the real adult world where ICT is
    integrated into both private life & work
●   Bring city facilities to rural areas
BUT...
There are still many
  barriers to the
  routine use of ICT
  when appropriate
  because of
● Lack of equipment

  or bandwidth
● Lack of expertise or

  experience
● Fear of exposure to

  so-called Digital
  Natives
