21. First Bank currently has some Home Buyer Assistance from FLHB.
This is a grant up to $7,500
These funds can be used in conjunction with an FHA or a
Conventional Home Loan.
The program does have income limitations of 80% of the Area Income
Limit, per person living in the household at the time of closings.
First Bank has to submit the file to FHLB before closing for them to
approve the file.
Please allow at least 30 days for them to review the file.

24. Section 8 Purchase
A current participant in the Housing Authority of Kansas City, Missouri’s Housing Choice
Voucher Program.
The head of household.
Permanently employed 30 hours or more per week for a minimum of one year before
enrolling in the Homeownership Program.
Earning an income of $14,500 or more (exceptions are made for the elderly and persons with
disabilities).
Enrolled in the HAKC Family Self-Sufficiency Program. (FSS). Link Below. (exceptions are
made for the elderly and persons with disabilities).
Be in good standing with the Housing Authority of Kansas City, Missouri.
1. The program helps the voucher holders by paying part of their monthly mortgage payment.
2. This payment is paid by Housing Authority to the mortgage lender instead of to a landlord.
3. The voucher holder is responsible for a portion of the mortgage payment as well.
4. Help with Credit Recovery, financial education, case management, homeownership education,
and help with lenders and realtors. (Similar to NACA)
