The Entrepreneur’s Programme
replaced Commercialisation Australia
and the Innovation and Investment
Fund in 2014, aims to help businesses
increase productivity and
competitiveness with funding and
access to a national network of private
sector advisers and facilitators.

▸Accelerating Commercialisation Grants - provides access to expert
guidance and grants to help businesses commercialize their novel
products, processes and services.
▸Business Management - Experienced advisors and facilitators
review business operations and provide direction and strategy.
▸Innovation Connections - This helps businesses by working with
facilitators to identify knowledge gaps hindering growth.

Business Growth Grants are one of the services of the Entrepreneurs’
Programme. You can use a Business Growth Grant to engage external
expertise to help your businesses implement improvements through a:

The Export Market Development Grant (EMDG)
has been set up for aspiring and current
exporters across a wide range of industries and
products to help drive new outbound markets
from Australia and encourage inbound tourism.

The program provides financial assistance to support market-ready
products and services that enhance the City of Melbourne’s reputation for
innovation and creativity, and contribute to a thriving, sustainable business
culture.

Solutions grants
provide up to 25% of
approved project
costs to a maximum
of $100,000 for
consortia to develop
an innovative solution
that address a high
growth opportunity or
challenge in a key
sector.
Tech vouchers
provide the same
monetary value for

overcome a specific
tech challenge, or test
new technology.
Innovate NSW (now Jobs for NSW) offers grants to businesses in the state
across a range of areas. There are three types of grants:

16. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

The Business Development and Assistance Program provides support,
funding and loans for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people looking
to start or grow a small to medium business.
While the grant doesn’t actually provide any cash benefit, the program
helps entrepreneurs get access to training, government or other assistance
packages so they can start growing their business.
