2. Who We Are?
friends-of-the-Arts foundation was formally established in 200 :
H.E. Anand Panyarachun is a founder and honorary chairman of the foundation
board.
The friends-of-the-Arts foundation incorporates universal values which transcend
all boundaries of geography, nationality, political philosophy, gender, age, race or
religion.
The friends-of-the-Arts (a self-supporting non-profit entity) charitably nurture and
excite interest in performing arts among young talented Thais and to promote
performing arts among people all walk of life throughout the Kingdom. Part of
proceeds from the friends-of-the-Arts annual events are donated to charitable
organizations who work towards the well-being of children, family and community in
the Kingdom of Thailand. Throughout the year the foundation stages performances
to raise funds and encourage the young Thai talented to perform in a professional
environment: (using state of the art sound, lighting and stage props).

The Main Focus:
• to support young talented and professional Thai artists.
• to organize performances; workshop; seminars; exhibitions.
• to introduce and promote performing arts to the public.
• to establish exchange programs with international institutions.
• to network and collaborate with individual performing artists.
• to educate and open minds to the joy of life!

Provided by the Sponsors to stage performances.
Funds:
Raised at the performances are channeled back to support future
friends-of-the-Arts foundation projects, events and performances.

6. Scholarship
The friends-of-the-Arts foundation Scholarship Program
• 1 year schorlarship studying and performing with Oplas Theater, Italy
• 12 scholarships (each year) selected from young talented performing artists
through-out Thailand with N.J. Magazine. The scholarships are presented by
Bangkok governor at the opening ceremony of International Dance Festival.
• Young Choreographer 4-8 Thai choreographers are selected each year and then
given the opportunity and fund to stage their production.
• UNESCO-Aschberg Bursaries and Dance Centre school of performing arts,
our main sponsor, joint bursary program for dance established in 1997. Provide
bursaries for upcoming International choreographer/dancer.

Gallery and Dance Space for
the benefit for Thai / local Artists
The friends-of-the-Arts foundation facilitate Thai Artists to exhibit
and create artistic works at Indian Cultural Center in Manohra
series . Events are scheduled monthly throughout 2012

Performing Arts for All
A weekend dance education program for general public and
students comprise of lecture demonstration / showcase and
workshop. The duration of this project is 16 weekends. At

9. International Dance Festival

Chiangmai and Bangkok
An annual dance festival since 2000 slowly
grew from 1 day to 2 weeks festival attended
by 400 international and local dance
companies/artiste/students.

11. Emporium Shopping Complex and friends-of-the-arts foundation
Co- presented the MUSIC FESTIVAL in Feb 2011 for the first time.
It becomes an annual festival which friends-of-the-arts foundation is able to
promote contemporary performance on such commercial stage.

12. Dharma-da International tour
Friends-of-the-Arts foundation supports “Dharma-da “
a co -production between Thai and Italian dancers based on the
teaching of Buddhism.
3 years project started in 2010
As 2 weeks workshop performed as work in progress 25 minutes
production performed in The International Dance Festival 2010.
Dharma –da will be premiere in Florence and Perugia in July 2012
and tour in Asia in 2013.
