mixture of theory and practice designed to bring flexibility and to satisfy the skills needed by the modern
mechanical engineer. HND allows entry into many final year UK bachelors.
What will you learn
The structure of the course is designed to build up the standard level of modules (in the HNC format) and the more
advanced level (in the HND format) that is acquired for a career in engineering. These modules are in alignment with the
engineering degrees that the UK universities offer. The topics include several crucial topics that the world of engineering is
facing such as case studies, teamwork, assignments and several skills transferred through our excellent teaching staff.
What will you study
The following list consists of the teaching units which are in alignment with courses of higher degree that UK universities
offer and can be used as a top-up guidance for accessing higher levels.
HNC list of units:
Business Management Techniques Project Design, Implementation and Evaluation
Engineering Science Health and Safety and Risk Assessment
Analytical Methods for Engineers Fluid Mechanics
Applications of Pneumatics and Hydraulics Management of Projects

Programmable Logic Controllers Engineering Thermodynamics
Quality Assurance and Management Engineering Design
Personal and Professional Development Mechanical Principles
Research Project Statistical Process Control
Progressional and careers Oopportunities
Successful completion of the HND will allow progression onto a third year BSc University course.
As Mechanical Engineering is of a multidisciplinary nature, a diversity of several forms of employment are available on
completion. Areas in the engineering industry such as designing, testing, development and management are reachable
through the course completion and several of our graduates are working in these areas.
