Some delightful restaurants are situated right up the waters edge. Worth a visit for either the beaches or the wineing and dining. It is in walking distance from Lafranc. 3. Tamariu A pretty fishing village and resort close to Palafrugell. Small cafes and shops on a broad promenade surround a delightful beach. Has its own scuba diving school.

4. La Fosca & l’Escala La Fosca on the left is 20 minutes south of Pals and L'Escala on the right is about the same distance North at the Ruines of Empurias.

5. La Costa Brava The Costa Brava is a coastal region of northeastern Catalonia, Spain, in the comarques ,of Alt Empordà , BaixEmpordà and La Selva, in the province of Girona. Costa is the Catalan and Spanish word for 'coast', and Brava means 'rugged' or 'wild'. The Costa Brava stretches from Blanes, 60km northeast of Barcelona, to the French border.

6. The Gulf of Roses (Catalan: Golf de Roses) is the most north eastern bay on the Catalan coast. The Bay is 16 km wide and is formed by the valley of the Fluvià river but also contains the esturies of the Manol and la Muga rivers. These rivers drain the southern flanks of the eastern end of the Pyrenees and Alberes. The area is often effected by the severe Tramuntana,wind.
