Currently we are using Cisco/Tandberg products here at Children’s to connect with presenting sites around the state. The presenting sites must have a cart with peripherals in order to present patients to us.
Dr. Daniel Torrez, pediatric pulmonologist, is able to see the inside of a child’s ear much better than he can see in person.
First tele-fetal echo, pictured is Dr. Cyrus Samai and Dr. Nanci Stauffer, pediatric cardiologists.
Our impact to our community and to the healthcare economy is quite moving…Miles…Cost…Hours…School days and work days misses…Overall costImpact on workforce and Atlanta’s traffic ( clean air) Miles calculated from presenting site to site where the physician was located ( SR, EG, Marcus or Center for Safe and Healthy Children) doubled, there and backHours saved; calculated the same as aboveSchool days or work days missed: assume that most people work and come to the TM visit with at least one adult
The small team that has accomplished so much over the past 2 years is…Just as with any other practice this team partners with other departments to run the practices and to meet the operational needs.
