Since 1983, Gathering of Nations, Ltd., has played an important role in supporting the Native American community. Through annual powwows, as well as other charitable and educational ventures, Gathering of Nations strives to preserve and promote Native American culture. Each year, Gathering of Nations holds a massive powwow in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Over a period of two days and nights, thousands of people from more than 500 tribes come together to enjoy music, dance, art, and crafts. The event begins with the annual Gathering of Nations Song, written in honor of Alan Neskahi Sr., one of the first people to translate the Bible into the Navajo language.
