EVENTS CONCEPT Stakeholder From a broad idea that a stakeholder is a person who can affect or will be affected by the event. The more specific idea that a stakeholder is a person of influence but not directly involved in the work. Clearly, this definition could also include an organisation such as a government. Getz( 1997) states that stakeholders are those people and groups with a stake in the event and its outcomes, including all groups patrcipating in the event production, sponsors and grant-givers, community representatives and anyone impacted by the event These stakeholder may include: Event principal (key person in host organisation or client) Organising committee Sponsors, donors Local community Local authorities (e.g. Council, emergency services, environmental authority) Service contractors ( e.g. Staging, cleaning, catering, security) Suppliers Performers, entertainers, participants Spectators, audience media Numerous factors need to be considered in developing the event concept Purpose of the event Although the purpose is also strongly linked to both the theme and the venue In some instances defining the purpose is difficult.

Evaluating community projects These guidelines were initially developed as part of the JRF Neighbourhood Programme. This programme is made up of 20 community or voluntary organisations all wanting to exercise a more strategic influence in their neighbourhood. The guidelines were originally written to help these organisations evaluate their work. They provide step-by-step advice on how to evaluate a community project which will be of interest to a wider audience. What is evaluation? Put simply, evaluation by members of a project or organisation will help people to learn from their day-to-day work. It can be used by a group of people, or by individuals working alone. It assesses the effectiveness of a piece of work, a project or a programme. It can also highlight whether your project is moving steadily and successfully towards achieving what it set out to do, or whether it is moving in a different direction. You can then celebrate and build on successes as well as learn from what has not worked so well. Why evaluate? Although evaluation may seem like an unnecessary additional task if you are already short of time and resources, it can save you both time and resources by keeping participants focused on, and working towards, the ultimate goal of the project. If necessary, it can refocus activity away from unproductive or unnecessary work.

LeadIN Core is an 8-week long community program in Washington, DC that brings together professionals of diverse fields, backgrounds, and experiences to learn and mold their unique leadership. Each group is intentionally kept small (between 8 and 12 individuals) to create an intimate and interactive learning environment. Each LeadIN Core cohort builds a culture of trust, ownership and collective commitment to the success of all. Participants hear diverse perspectives, share best practices and provide one another with encouragement, support and accountability. They become stronger, more effective leaders by tapping into the diverse collective experience and wisdom of the group.

With more memory available, system performance of three Dell devices increased, which can translate to a better user experience Conclusion When your system has plenty of RAM to meet your needs, you can efficiently access the applications and data you need to finish projects and to-do lists without sacrificing time and focus. Our test results show that with more memory available, three Dell PCs delivered better performance and took less time to complete the Procyon Office Productivity benchmark. These advantages translate to users being able to complete workflows more quickly and multitask more easily. Whether you need the mobility of the Latitude 5440, the creative capabilities of the Precision 3470, or the high performance of the OptiPlex Tower Plus 7010, configuring your system with more RAM can help keep processes running smoothly, enabling you to do more without compromising performance.

Created by Mozilla Research in 2012 and now part of Linux Foundation Europe, the Servo project is an experimental rendering engine written in Rust. It combines memory safety and concurrency to create an independent, modular, and embeddable rendering engine that adheres to web standards. Stewardship of Servo moved from Mozilla Research to the Linux Foundation in 2020, where its mission remains unchanged. After some slow years, in 2023 there has been renewed activity on the project, with a roadmap now focused on improving the engine’s CSS 2 conformance, exploring Android support, and making Servo a practical embeddable rendering engine. In this presentation, Rakhi Sharma reviews the status of the project, our recent developments in 2023, our collaboration with Tauri to make Servo an easy-to-use embeddable rendering engine, and our plans for the future to make Servo an alternative web rendering engine for the embedded devices industry.
