2. Who is our audience?
• Our audience for the film are a mix of young adults and adults,
this is because A Dame With A Clue is based on a genre Film Noir,
therefore it is important that we get our target audience correct
or know one will want to come and watch the film.
• We chose adults aged 35-70 as our genre because we thought that
adults would be most interested in A Dame With A Clue, this is
because Film Noir is an old genre and with an old target audience.
• We also felt that it would mainly be men that would be interested
in film noir, but also attracting some women.
3. Similar films with similar audiences
• The Third Man, this is a film over 50 years old which was about a
murder that mysteriously happened, we think this will attract a
similar target audience as our film A Dame With A Clue. This is
because similar to the third man there is a mystery that is being
solved.
• Also, the film out of the past is about a man taking $40,000 and
shooting someone, this is also a mystery from the genre Film Noir.
Therefore with the storyline of the film and A Dame With A Clue
also being a mystery we think that they will attract similar
audiences of aged 40-60, mainly men.
