3. •In Poland there are 23 national parks.
•These areas have special values: scientific, natural,
social, cultural and educational.
•The area must be more than 1000 ha.
•Task national park is maintenance of natural systems,
reconstruct distorted nature habitats.
•A lot of tourists visit national parks. Many of them have
prepared trails and natural history museums.
•The largest is the Biebrza National Park, while the
smallest is the Ojców National Park.

5. •Situated in north-east Poland.
• Created in 1932. The second created
national park in Poland.
•Białowieża has the best preserved
fragment primary forest – last in the
Europe.
• There is a huge number of species of
animals and plants. Park is the most
known for the largest population of
European bison. All European bisons on
the world come from Białowieża Forest.
• Dominated deciduous forests there.
6. •Polish forests occupy about 29 % of
the area . In the future , this number
is expected to rise .
•Here is dominated by coniferous
forests . The most common tree
species is Scots pine.
•National parks and nature preserves
are created to protecting forests. the
other ways are:
-collection waste paper
-introduction a new technologies
that reduce production of harmful
substances
-planting more deciduous trees
because they are more resistant to
contamination.
7. •It involves sorting waste for reprocessing.
•The purpose of segregation is to reduce
the consumption of natural resources and
reduce waste.
•Collected are mainly:
-glass (green and white wastebin)
-paper (blue wastebin)
-plastic (yellow wastebin)
-metal (red wastebin)
•In Poland we collected also baterries,
broken electrical and electronic
equipment into special containers
8. •The aim is to protect animals and plants threatened
with extinction and to preserve species and genetic
diversity
•In Poland, is under the protection of 213 species of
plants, 265 species of fungi and lichens and 400 species
of animals
•Protected species must not:
- kill, maim , handle , transport , detain , destroy their
habitats.
•The protection of species determines the Minister of the
Enviroment.
10. •The oldest organization in Poland, created in 9th January 1928
•League of Nature Conservation is mainly involved in public
education about wildlife and nature conservation. Mobilized
to perform social work for nature. The organization encourage
any action that can help protect the environment.
• League of Nature Conservation monitors compliance with
environmental law.
