Water use of thermal power plants equipped with CO2 capture systems
Ene.Museo Nacional de la Energía
1. Ene.Museo - The National Museum of Energy
• CIUDEN is not just an
organisation of geologists
and engineers!
• An important role of the
Spanish Research
Foundation is to improve
public understanding of
issues related to energy
• This is the remit of the
Science Didactics and
Education Department
(SDE) of Ene.Museo.

2. Ene.Museo - The National Museum of Energy
• Ene.Museo is in Ponferrada, Northwest
Spain – an area with strong, traditional
links with energy.
• The first site to be opened - Ene Termica is housed in a restored coal power plant.
• All of the SDE team’s activities are based
on ‘learning by discovery’.
• Workshops and fun activities are
designed to spark curiosity and
reinvigorate the pleasure of learning,
playing and exploring - merging scientific
issues with educational and pedagogical
ones.
