Definition of Energy
Energy is defined as: “the ability to do work”.
There are many sources of energy. Without
energy, we will not do the work.
The strangest thing about energy is that you
can’t make it or get rid of it; you can only
change it from one type of energy into another.

3. Changing Energy
Here some changes in energy from one form to
another.
Stored energy in a flashlight’s batteries becomes
light energy when the flashlight is turn on.
A toaster changes electrical energy into heat
and light energy. (If you look into the toaster,
you’ll see the glowing wires.)
A television changes electrical energy into light
and sound energy.

4. Aim
• We make a lift miniature to prove the
changing energy from electrical energy
into kinetic energy.

1. For base = 38 cm x 17 cm x 2 cm
2. 2 for pole = 40 cm x 17 cm x 2 cm
3. For roof = 25 cm x 17 cm x 2 cm

• Pipe buffer
• Nail
• Gift paper

• Cutter
• Ruler
• Pencil
6. Procedure
1. First, prepare the tools and materials.
2. Make a construction from the wood taken as base, 2 poles and roof.
3. Paste up those woods uses nail or glue.
4. Make hole in the roof so that can be entered by the string.
5. Then, the cable attached to the electric switch.
6. One of the cable, attached to the plug.

7. And the other one cable again, attached to the adaptor. Then cut the
cable and attached to the plug. Tie which use tape.

8. Cable available in adaptor, attached to a dynamo that there a pulley.
7. 9. After all the cables attached, tie the string on pulley, enter
the hole that has been provided and attach to the lift model.

10. So that dynamo can attached, use the pipe buffer.
11. If you want beautiful, covered the wood by gift paper.
12. To know the lift can up, plug the plug in the electric socket,
press on, on the electric switch.

13. If we press off on the electric switch, then the lift is down,
this mean the project is complete.

8. • When the plug plugged in the electric
socket and the electric switch is on, the lift
up, happen changing energy from
electrical energy to kinetic energy. This
change happens in dynamo, that cause
the lift up.
