The Speaker was Mark Lester who gave

festive with patriotic decorations and
everyone enjoyed the sandwiches and
wine! The President Diana Bird closed the

passion of running. Never in my wildest
dreams did I think it would be so
infectious. Our first week saw 7 women
sign up for a 12 week course. Since then,
the club has grown from strength to
strength with over 50 members attending
on a regular basis. The greatest reward
for me has been to watch people lacking
in running fitness, setting their sights on
new challenges. Empowered by the
endorphins and the social environment,
these people who once could not run
more than 10 minutes non stop are keen
to enter events as a club, whether it be
5k, 10k, Half Marathon or a full Marathon.
