                                          Module I
                                  Considering Our Evidence
                                  Evidence from Our School

Each school team must bring these pieces of evidence (artifacts) to Summer Institute:
   •    NCNSP Annual Self-Assessment (draft)
   •    School Improvement Plan
   •    Cambridge School Quality Review report (if available)

In addition, each school must bring at least one artifact from each Class of Evidence listed in the
following table. The more pieces of evidence a school brings to Summer Institute to consider,
the more productive its work is likely to be.

                     Annual dropout rates (overall, 9th grade)
                     Promotion rates (overall, 9th grade)
                     Attendance rates
 Other Artifacts     Yearbook
                     Event programs (graduation, awards assemblies, etc.)
                     Notes, letters ( from parents, staff, students or community leaders)
                     Parent conference artifacts (staff, student presentations, etc.)
                     Student work representative of rigor
                     Project-based learning lesson plan
                     Outcomes, Measures and Supports documentation
  Early College      Proposal
  Planning Sites     Districtwide achievement data (from Achievement above for entire school
                     system)
                     Rationale for development of site
                     Student profile data for 2009-2010 school year (if available)
       Policy        Homework policies
                     Course enrollment policies (i.e., who gets to take what classes when)
                     Grading policies
                     Communications regarding student progress/achievement (i.e., frequency,
                     contents)
                     Admissions policies
