3. Q&A
9. Start internally
(Define goals, identify resources, choose channels)
• Is it only for branding/promotion?
• Who is your target audience?
• Will you engage with the audience and provide “customer support”?
• Do you want to find talent this way?
• Who will be in charge? Full time or not?
• Do you have any budget?
• What tools will you use?
• What platforms will you utilize?
• Twitter? Blogs? YouTube? Facebook? Instagram…?
Key word here is meaningful!
10. Define strategy
With your (meaningful) goal in sight decide:
•Who will post – only teachers, students too, everyone else?
•How often and when
•Will you document and how
•What will the tone of voice be
•Ensure internal workflows are in place to channel feedback and utilize it
•Decide on KPI’s and reporting structure

11. Execute
• Start by listening – conversations about you, your competitors,
identify interesting colleagues, other institutions, influencers and key
topics
• Measure all the time
• Develop content calendar on a weekly basis and start posting
• Engage meaningfully with the audience - respond
• In case of criticism, have plans ready for how to tackle it
• Make your mark – create hashtags and launch chats (#edtech,
#edchat)
• Engange with #EdCamp once you feel ready
• Be ready for the organizational impact (“open editorial”)
• Face internal criticism
