2. Location
• The Russians are located in the Eastern
Hemisphere. Most Christians belong to the
Eastern Orthodox Church. My country is in
Europe. It is south of the Black Sea. Christmas
is very known in in Russia
3. Preparing for Christmas
• When they have Christmas they cook for the
huge feast. They gather all there family and
friends for Christmas. Every year they make
or find an animal costume for Christmas.
They practice dance routines and extreme
stunts. They always get a huge table to eat
on.
4. What did we take from Russia
• We took some of the most important and
most popular traditions from the Russians.
The most popular thing we took is Christmas
trees. The started the tradition of the
language and soup also. They mostly have
feasts which gave us an idea of dinners and
breakfast on Christmas day and eve.
5. What type of Christmas music and did
we borrow any songs.
• They enjoy there Russian Christmas music.
They have traditional Russian songs. No we
did not borrow any songs from them. They
listen to Christmas music on Christmas eve
during the feast.
6. Who brings the gifts to children
• The children are always expecting gifts once
they wake up. They receive gifts from Santa
and sometimes parents because some
parents cant afford Santa delivery/ Santa
gifts.
7. Food
• Russians mostly eat lots of food on Christmas
eve. They have a HUGE feast. They don’t eat
any meat in Christmas season except on
Christmas eve and Christmas day. They have
plenty of Russian vodka and tea. They have
lots of leftovers.
8. Extra Facts
• Christmas was a hard time for Russia during
the soviet union times. The children's parents
had no money and Russia went into debt.
Dads were sent off to war and most of the
children lost a loved one. At that time it was
a communist government.
