standard number and color codes:

Depending on the size and type of aid, most batteries will last
approximately 10 days to two weeks with average wearing time
(from waking to going to sleep at night). If the battery is dead,
then the aid will not work. Weak batteries may also cause
noticeable changes in sound quality.
A battery tester can be purchased from your audiologist or
hearing specialist to determine if your battery is providing the
proper voltage. You should always contact your hearing
instrument specialist to buy your hearing aid batteries.
To insert a new battery: Remove the colored tab. The battery has
a beveled side and a flat side. To insert, place the battery flat
side up into the battery door and close the door.

2. You should never have to force a battery in or force the door
closed. If the door will not close, the battery may be the wrong
size or in upside down. Never place the battery directly into the
aid. The battery should always be placed into the door.
To remove the old battery: Open the battery door and slide out
the used battery, replace it with a new one. If the battery is too
small to grasp, a magnet can be used to help slide the used
battery out. Place the sticker tab from the battery on the calendar
day you change batteries, this will help you to keep up with your
battery use.
Your battery is a zinc air battery, which is activated by air
exposure. By removing the colored tab, the battery is exposed to
air and immediately begins to drain. Once removed, placing the
sticker tab back on the battery will not stop the drain. Do not pull
the tab off of your hearing aid battery until you are ready to use
it.
