8. Laptop vs. netbook This was a personal decision I had to recently make. Do I want a larger laptop or a smaller netbook. After much research I found the number one drawback, for me, on the netbook was that they have no CD-Drive. Laptops are portable desktop computers. Everything that is available on your big bulky desktop is there on your laptop. Netbooks are smaller and easier to carry around.
