Österreich war schon in frühester Zeit ein Land, in dem verschiedene Völker für kürzere oder längere Zeit ansässig

Babenbergern besiedelte Donaugebiet und die Steiermark. Diese Länder
wurden im 12. Jahrhundert vom ersten Habsburger, Rudolf I, nach dem

Die Habsburger regierten als deutsche Kaiser - später als Kaiser von Österrei-
